Tim Anderson/Josh Donaldson

Donaldson has a negative history with the White Sox. He is clearly throwing "Jackie" name around to get under Tim Anderson's skin. It appears to be working. It may or may not have racist undertones but none of us know Donaldson's intent. The guy is known to be an a$$hole league wide. 

Ask yourself this question. Is any other player in the league calling Tim Anderson Jackie when they play??? I am sure the entire league read his interview. Why is Donaldson the only player in the league throwing this name around at Tim??

If you guys actually read the content of the interview you would realize that Tim Anderson was not comparing his game or circumstances to Jackie. He was just conveying that he felt like Jackie because he carried a responsibility to try and attract young black athletes back to the game of baseball since the number of Black kids playing has dwindled significantly in the last two decades. Some of you haven't read up on the situation obviously.

Either way, not a smart move by Donaldson to be throwing Jackie around in a taunting manner at an opponent in today's hostile environment. If nothing else, he is an idiot.

Donaldson has been a hell of player throughout his career, but he is clearly not the brightest man in the league.

and yes significant history with white sox (and Tim Anderson)

also last weekend in chicago on a pick off attempt- he used his knee to force Tim off the bag at third and kneed him in the head

in the old days this was a common play just like fastballs at the head and chin music for admiring a home run 

but apparently it doesnt play anymore

i feel its all being overblown

as for Donaldson 

he is about 2 generations behind the times that have changed

so if u like old school- u have no problem with it

but in todays game feelings get hurt 

i get it as both a sox fan and someone who appreciates the history of the game

An absolute joke. He referenced himself as the modern day Jackie Robinson. For his reasoning by doing so whether being a very role model to the youth coming into the league or any other reason but after you made the statement you can't start pulling the racism card cause a player called you Jackie. Especially when Donaldson said back in 2019 him and TA would joke about it when he called him Jackie then. Tim Anderson is salty over the pickoff attempt and a drama queen. Donaldson said he nipped it in the bud when they had the conversation by shortstop. Then AFTER the fact yasmani grandal starts a fight with Donaldson when up to bat and TA running around like the hulk being a drama queen. He cried to his teammates making it a big deal instead of handling himself like a man. Whether after the game or whatever these guys all communicate. This is all over the pickoff attempt and him being butthurt. Donaldson said he was trying to break any tension from that play joking around as he did in the past and wasn't being malicious. It's absolutely insane Donaldson is being labeled a racist over this nonsense.

Anderson started it n Donaldson used it against him,flat out…didn’t read anybody’s else’s opinion,was watching the game when it happened and just found out how it started,just saying no racism AGAIN

I was curious as to how calling him the name of one of most respected athletes not just baseball players was racist.  I guess I have no frame of reference but this seems weak.  One game suspension  way to take a stand MLB.
