Messick is the best Cleveland has, and he's been pretty damn stellar as of late. Over his last 5 starts, hes sporting a 1.76 ERA. The Tigers are now without Riley Green, and it appears McKinstry isn't in the line up again today. Tigers are middle of the pack vs LHP, but its Montero that scares me. He just gave up 5 ER to the Giants in his last start, and 4 ER to the O's a couple weeks ago. He did blank the A's but everyone seems to be doing that lately. I'll take the better starter, and healthier line up.

Somebody help me out here. What am I missing? The Pirates are 2-8 in their last 10 and show zero signs of life. Hernandez and Conine are hot for the fish, and they already have Lopez and Edwards doing their thing. Phillips is much better in relief than as a starter historically, but as of late, he's been everything you could ask him to be. The Pirates have scored 3 runs in their last 3 games. It's a sinking ship.

Back to the well that keeps on giving. The Mariners EXPLODED for 5 runs yesterday, but unfortunately they still lost by 5. With Fried going today, I don't know that they can get to 3 runs, and Gilbert has been gettable. Certainly gettable enough to cover this vs this offense. We saw the Ms pen last night too, scary times in Seattle. Wind is blowing out to power alley right center, so could get some fireworks.
