Better team at home with the better pitcher. Crazy Friday night winning record. Yet that line barely moved with all the bets on TB. ![]()
That Tampa Bay trap was too obvious.

That maybe true, but it's easy to talk shit being down 0-4 after 3 innings, next time call it out before the game starts if you want some respect.

We all have eyes and im sure everyone looks at the betting percentages as I do. That 135 line looked Iike a gift all day. I almost bet it today but decided not to. I was confident enough to take the whitesox, so I just no played it.

what's considered value or not is only determined one game at a time. line reading is helpful but not enough to turn a long term profit. knowledge of the game is always king

On that, you are incorrect. I never bother checking betting percentages. It's silly. THAT to me is the "trap" .....being swayed by what other's are doing as opposed to foccussing on capping the game. Other's lose plenty. I watch the available betting lines, not what gamblers are betting on --> could not possibly care less.
If the line doesn't move much or at all then many dozens of books around the world are getting roughly equal bet amounts down on each side -- right where THEY want it for guaranteed profit.

FUBAH is 100% correct. I have never looked at betting splits in my life. I do not care what the public is betting, and I do not put much validity in numbers released by the sportsbooks.
Now, if I had access to a list of respected players and what the guys who consistently smash the books were betting, that would be different. I had that kind of access through a contact at Caesars years ago, and that information actually meant something.
Public betting splits do nothing for me. The game is still the game, but I would rather handicap it the right way.
