Arizona Diamondbacks +114
Soroka looked a little rusty in his first start back, had some control issues, but still showed swing and miss stuff at the same time. That should only improve as he gets more comfortable on the hill, and the Dbacks bats are producing more than the Braves bats are right now. The Braves have a comfortable cushion in the NL East, but the Dbacks are clinging on to the last wild card spot, so urgency is on our side too.
Boston Red Sox -1.5 +146 (Probably won't get played cause of rain)
Lol. I can't believe what is happening with the lines in this series. It's like Vegas thinks the Pirates are still some sort of threat, and that Boston has regressed back to May. The Pirates picked up Luke Weaver at the deadline to try and tighten up the pen, and he let the a 1-0 game get to a 4-0 game late yesterday. They go to a bullpen start today, with a bad bullpen who won't have atleast one of their "best" arms. No Contreras for the Sox, but that is very little concern.
San Diego Padres -110 (Probably won't get played cause of rain)
The Friars went out and got Mize at the deadline to make a run, and his first start was a disaster. But he isn't alone. Lots of old faces in new places struggled in their first start with their new team. He got things back on track last start, and the Padres are heading in a completely different direction than the Guardians. The Padres hold a playoff spot as of today, but the Guardians have now fallen behind four teams in the Wild Card race, and are 3-7 in their last 10. The pitching has been the issue for Cleveland, and the Padres are finding themselves offensively. Bad combo.
Nationals/Mets Over 8.5 -118
I don't know what else to say about this series. The Mets bats are hot (despite Polanco still getting thrown out there everyday) right now, and the Nats bats are forever a threat. Both pens are not good, and it's going to be a picture perfect day in Queens.
Phillies/Twins Over 9.5 -105
Wind blowing out to right in the double digits, 11 of the 18 offensive starters in the game will be hitting from the left side for the first few ABs, and the two starting pitchers LOVE to serve up meatballs. The Twins offense is scary to bet on, but Painter just isn't good, and the bullpen for both teams are awful. Should easily see double digits. All four of Painters last four starts have gotten to double digits.
