The more you dig into Dodgers Braves, the more this looks like a game where the starting pitching matchup is going to control everything early.
Both starters have elite swing-and-miss stuff, both have been tough to square up, and neither lineup gets an easy path through the first few trips. This is one of those games where one bad inning could decide the entire thing.

I’ve been under the hood on Dodgers-Braves all afternoon and the deeper I get, the more this game looks like a pitching fight.
Sale has done a really good job against this Dodgers group of taking away the damage. The hard-contact profile is weak, the expected numbers back it up, and this lineup hasn’t exactly been squaring him up.
Same thing on the other side with Yamamoto. He misses bats, controls counts and has already shown he can get through this Atlanta lineup without giving them much to work with. Last time these two matched up, Yamamoto gave up one run and Sale threw nine shutout in a 1-0 game.
The lineup matters too. Ohtani hitting fifth against Sale tells you they’re trying to manage the matchup, and I don’t see a lot of easy at-bats on either side early.
Yeah, 6.5 is low. I know that

Short fucking card today and I liked a lot of shit, so hopefully I picked the right one.
Maybe we fucking smash this, grab a bag and jump onto that football game later because I do think there’s some value there. But don’t get ahead of yourself, Truck. Both of these teams can absolutely hit and 6.5 is still fucking 6.5.
Let’s get through this one first. If it goes bad, I’ll be somewhere with my dick in the dirt and I’m fucking done for the day.

As I had stated in another thread, both guys coming into the game having handled the opposite side and having had strong Septembers. Yamamoto rose to the occasion last season when the Dodgers backs were against the wall. I see him locked in and sale is just on another level these days.
