The Doc is not himself these days maybe, father time catching up, I believe this line is set to a public perception that he will be back to the old Roy, I don't believe so.Phillies may win but I don't see a pitching duel like last night.

Every time Morrow gave up 5 ER or more last season he bounced back with a great start.Santana pitched a gem last time up, I don't see him pitching 2 in a row.

Day games at busch have a tendancy to be high scoring, Milwaukee hasn't scored any runs in 2 games, I believe they will put up some runs today,6-4 win for one of these 2 teams.

Irwin was not the projected starter for Pittsburgh today. I think that is a good opportunity for the Reds to avoid losing 3 straight to the Pirates.
Other than Lee, the Phillies pitching has not performed as projected. I think the difference is missing catcher Carlos Ruiz behind the plate (as well as his bat in the lineup). Doc has not met expectations so far, but he had 9 strikeouts his first start and he is playing the Marlins today. This is a good chance to get his 200th career win.
Nationals bats struggled today but they have fared well in the past against Maholm. I look for them to get some early run support so the Nationals can ride Gonzalez longer to avoid the pen.

First career start for Irwin in a tough spot trying to take 3 in a row from Reds. Good splits and matchup for Latos. The Reds' lineup is a lot to handle for the youngster.
Under 8.5 TB Rays - BOS Red Sox -120
Another great pitching duel in Boston. Each starter has good numbers vs the other. Boston continues to play it tight at home. With competent bullpens and struggling lineups, I like the total to stay under.
KC Royals ML -115
Santana is tough vs Toronto. Just needs to avoid that Bautista long ball. Edge to a rested KC bullpen as Shields went the distance last night and lost with a 2 hitter. I don't like taking teams after they face Dickey, but this is a nice spot for Royals.

A's lineup is still banged up and Parker is struggling, feel anibal should pitch well and shut down the A's today.. i'll go 5-3 tigers.
rangers because their offense is far better with morse and saunders out, and their pitcher has the advantage here too. maurer seems over matched first 2 starts and as long as tepesch don't get ripped should be ok.
reds because they just lost yesterday, and latos will want to step up after Cueto's injury.. little worried that Reds dont know irwin, but if latos throws well keeps them in it till 3rd time around in the order, reds will get to him and bullpen.. trusting latos an better team here.

As much I appreciate your input and the record - I'd like to remind you that the purpose of this thread and the reason I created it is to better ourselves through handicapping as a team and creating subjects for discussions so we can all participate in each other's thought process. In order for that to happen and also in order to do a professional effort - two things have to happen which in your case are ignored:
1. Please format your picks as everyone else is required to do.
2.Please reason them.
I understand that your record is great and you may think that you're allowed to get breaks where everyone else is not. And that's a mistake. Humble does it and as soon as you'll realize - better for you and also for everyone else in this thread. I do not have to tailor picks of such permanent and veteran posters here as yourself buddy.

Brandon Morrow was a great day pitcher last year and I like him here against the Royals. I like the dynamic change with KC bats having to face the knuckle yesterday and having to adjust again today. Santana still hasn't shown me he is worthy of the #2 slot.

Fading Kuroda here. I expected this series as most with the Yankees to be pretty high scoring so the over might be worth a look as well.
STL Cardinals ML -153
I think a sweep is in order in this one. Milwaukee can't hit and STL's pitching staff has been quite impressive so far this year.

same story as yesterday but with righties dynamics. Strong pens with great value on the line.
Buchholz been throwin nothing but smoke since spring, mechanics and focus on having a great year is no fluke. BOS should win with the edge with pitching and lineup.
