Yankees/Cubs Under 9 -120
Imanaga has thrown back to back great starts, and Warren is on a good start/bad start rotation, and we are due for a good start this time around. The Yankees offense is still missing way too many bats to be considered a threat, and the Cubs are sitting a couple regulars in the line up. The wind is also going to be blowing in from RF all day in the double digits.
Phillies/Orioles Over 8.5 -118
Young has been pretty darn good for the O's, but the bats aren't the Phillies issues right now. They are still getting 4 runs/game, even througout this tough stretch. They just aren't getting anything consistent from a pitcher, and when they do, they don't score. Both line ups should have plenty of opportunities to put some crooked numbers on the board, especially the O's as Painter has been atrocious, and the Philly pen is as reliable as a fart in your 50s.
Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 +118
It was fun while it last here in St. Louis, but the team has finally come back to the reality that they are just a .500 team, with lots of holes. They will be selling in the next few days, so some bullpen arms may be shut down until then, and thats really bad news cause it's THIN down there. Cease has been outstanding, and with the Cards struggling bats, it could be a quick evening. The Jays won't have to muster much offense, as 4 should get the job done.
White Sox/Rays Under 8.5 -120
Rays are back to getting things done with pitching, and Martinez is no exception. He's been great his last 5 starts, never yielding more than 6 hits or 2 ER, and never walking more than 1. He's historically dominated the White Sox, although they are far improved this year. Fedde, I don't understand. He was SOOOO bad in St. Louis. I couldn't believe he found another job. But here he is, being useful, and getting outs. He also historically has shut down the Rays when he sees them.
Houston Astros -1.5 +158
The Astros are in the midst of a heater right now, and their offense is really hummin'. They have scored 4 or more runs, in 7 of the last 10 games. The Rangers are riddled with injuries right now, and have a lot of holes in their line up, starting with Corey Seager. The top 5 for the Astros are capable of breaking games wide open, and they got to Eovaldi when they saw him earlier in the year, a 5-1 Astros win. Hunter Brown is coming off his best start of the year. 7 innings of 2 hit ball, with no runs or walks allowed. No reason that can't carry over vs this hobbled offense.
San Diego Padres -1.5 +136
The Giants offense has shown some signs of life over the last 10 days, but the Padres are going with a bullpen start, and that bullpen is arguably the best in the business. They are throwing lefty Carson Whisenhunt, and the Padres struggle vs lefties, but he walks a lot of guys, and it hasn't really bit him yet, but it's bound to happen. San Frans pen is not good, so if he can't make it through 5 or 6, this one could get blown up.
