In my defense, I did not know that major league retread Cole Irvin is now in the Dodgers organization, nor that he had started 20 games this season in Triple A, nor that the Dodgers had called him up, nor that dullard Dodgers manager Dave Roberts had decided to make him tonight’s bulk innings man, no matter how much he sucked in that role, and suck he did.

The Dodgers climbed out of an early 3-0 hole to take a brief lead only to watch in dismay as their lunkhead skipper sat and watched the merry-go-round of Boston baserunners in the top of the 7th.
Cole Irvin’s return to the major league’s might wind up being his farewell game, too.
The Dodgers have quit on this series opener, and frankly I can’t blame them.

The deeply loathed Dave Roberts let lousy Cole Irvin throw ONE HUNDRED AND TWO pitches while getting hit hard for six innings.
I hope the Sox sweep these fools.
Great pick, Freddy666. Is it too much to say that the Boston Red Sox are significantly better than the Dodgers right now? The Red Sox are now an incredible 26-5 over their last 31 games while the Dodgers are 19-12 over their last thirty-one.
