Griffin needs to settle the fuck down right now. I need one thing.

A clean zero.

Griffin is 14 strikes, 14 balls through 28 pitches. That’s only a 50% strike rate. That’s not where we want him living with a 2-0 lead. He’s survived it so far, but he’s making life way harder than it needs to be.

The good news is the stuff isn’t necessarily the issue. He’s mixing five pitches and KC hasn’t scored. It’s command. He needs to quit pitching from behind, get strike one, and make these guys earn their way on.

OK, Griffin gets through a pretty quiet inning. Like I said, the stuff isn’t bad, he just has to start getting strike one and stop pitching from behind.

Now we need activity. We need an insurance run right here. Make Lynch work, put some traffic on the bases, find some grass and let’s add on.
