Cards vs Cubs, 6/14/24

Took a bath on the Dodgers. Best offense in the game puts up 1 run. Baseball can be cruel. It’s a grind though and we need to roll with the L’s. Unfortunately, there will be more than we like along the way. I’ll update my posted record tomorrow, but posted units def back in the Red. 

I’m gonna be tied up all morning in meetings, so wanted to get this up tonight. If it loses, I’ll likely take 2-3 days off. 

I’m a big fan of Jordan Wicks. He’s got a bright future and I’m rolling the dice that he keeps the Cards in check tomorrow. There’s more to like here, but too tired for a write up. 

I’m on the Cubs for 50 units at -108. 
Love this play, but hot run could be cooling. Really misread Lorenzen earlier. Tail (or fade) at your own risk.

Dodgers went KKK Walk KKK with their top 7 hitters after 8 and 9 got on with HBP and a single. Unimpressive to say the least. lol.

The Dodgers came back from an east coast trip facing Skenes/Jones( 2 big throwers ) then won 11-7...then go to play the yanks with 2 'prime time' games.

Fly home to face the 'champs' who have been mediocre but Bochy knew them well.

It's hard to 'get up' for 162 games and the dodgers like the nats of the last decade are run in part by Stan Kasten.

They are a very corporate team.

Bol - I like the Cubs too.

@IntenseOperator - The Cards are underachieving as well, only with a team not as talented as Chicago. They also played and traveled yesterday. Wicks was already home, getting ready for today. 

@GMU - Exactly my man. With 162 games, teams inadvertently take days off. Part of what makes this gambling game so tough. 

One of my books is offering -1 at +140. I really like the value there and added 25 units. 

@meknowno - I typically max out at 100 units. But will and have gone higher if I feel the spot is appropriate.
