Because your Yankee buddy had a hissy fit when he made a blanket statement and got called out. I kept it on topic.

No you are a typical Yankee fan and think there are hte Yankees and the rest of baseball. Its disrespectful to baseball and the reason all fans of other teams despise most Yankee fans.

I never said they were competing this year so it funny when you Yankee fans try to get all tough and talk trash about a team that isnt good and wasnt expected to be contending. Really shows how shallow yoru fanbase is....

Your dillusional...  How many times do you need Selig to say that The mid and lower market teams don't spend the money appropriately. "The only obstacles is the receiving owners don't want to be monitored on their spending"  Bud Selig

But its obvious in MLB who these teams are... BALTIMORE leads the pack...  The Orioles front office is a joke and is laughed at through out baseball... just google the stories written about them its quite embarrassing... 19 million to Baez, millions more to david segui, they are a JOKE

What is a "typical" Yankee fan and what isn't?

And what you did say was that they'll be over .500. They won't even be over .450.

Never said they would be over .500... another one of your lets tell lies so I can make jpero look ike a fool posts.

I believe I said htey had a chance to play .500 and I said they would go 77-85

This was before Brob was lost for most of hte year and Pie was lost for most of the year along with their closer. If I had known an accounted for 1/3 of their starting lineup to go down and be out for 3 months then I would say they were close to 100 loss team again.

Never happened. Go as your buddy steve bailey.

Yankees wouldnt win 95 and Orioles would win more than 73 was what I said... That was before the season and before the Orioles lost 1/3 of their starting offense.

Keep lying to yourself.

Cause i never said they would win 85 games no matter how much you want to lie and try to convince yourself I did.

I have the thread saved that I gave projected wins. So keep up the lies and when you put out enough string to hang yourself I will link the thread.

A Yankee fan who knows and understands that the teams that won the WS, prior ot last year, was built through the farm system and bring up their own players. They won the WS playing by the same rules the other teams did. Then they strayed away from that and took advantage of the MLB system by starting to spend amounts never seen before and ti created a ripple affect throughout the league that is still seen today.

They have become a team that cna outbid and take/get any player they want. They leave the scraps for hte rest of the league.

A non-typical Yankee fan realizes these things and realizes how the Yankees have a clear-cut, unfair advantage over the rest of the league and every team in the league. They are still fans fo hte Yankees but do not gloat and act entitled because they are a superior franchise due to their spending capabilities.

NY Yankees #1 with 10,599,933
NY Mets #2
Anaheim Angels #3
LA Dodgers #4
BALTIMORE ORIOLES #5 with  7,608,070

The Baltimore Orioles PER CAPITA is $13.66....   If you need that translated in English, IT BASICALLY MEANS THE ORIOLE ORGANIZATION, FRONT OFFICCE, ETC IS A JOKE.... AND J PERO IS A BIGGER JOKE

Since you know so much about the Orioles front office maybe you can educate me on they have been run since 1999.

I would love to see your take so I can blow it up and give you the actual reasons for their failures.

The problem, not only for the union but for large-market owners, is that some clubs have not cycled out of the bottom of the standings for years. As Red Sox owner John Henry said to the Boston Globe last year, "Over a billion dollars has been paid to seven chronically uncompetitive teams, five of whom have had baseball's highest operating profits. Who, except these teams, can think this is a good idea?"

Also your #s here are wrong just like your assertion the Orioles received massive amounts from revenue sharing.

Here are the actual #s.

Markets of more than 10 million people
--------------------------------------------------------

21,199,865   New York Mets, New York Yankees
16,373,645   Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers

Markets of 5-10 million people
--------------------------------------------------------

9,157,540   Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox
7,608,070   Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals
7,039,362   Oakland Athletics, San Francisco Giants
6,188,463   Philadelphia Phillies
5,819,100   Boston Red Sox
5,456,428   Detroit Tigers
5,221,801   Texas Rangers

The Yankees and Mets markets are larger as those #s do not take into account NJ, CT, and upstate NY.

Hey Pero... Do you know that the Orioles rank 5th in MLB in Metropolitan Population???

NY Yankees #1 with 10,599,933
NY Mets #2
Anaheim Angels #3
LA Dodgers #4
BALTIMORE ORIOLES #5 with  7,608,070

The Baltimore Orioles PER CAPITA is $13.66....   If you need that translated in English, IT BASICALLY MEANS THE ORIOLE ORGANIZATION, FRONT OFFICCE, ETC IS A JOKE.... AND J PERO IS A BIGGER JOKE

Also your #s here are wrong just like your assertion the Orioles received massive amounts from revenue sharing.

Here are the actual #s.

Markets of more than 10 million people
--------------------------------------------------------

21,199,865   New York Mets, New York Yankees
16,373,645   Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers

Markets of 5-10 million people
--------------------------------------------------------

9,157,540   Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox
7,608,070   Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals
7,039,362   Oakland Athletics, San Francisco Giants
6,188,463   Philadelphia Phillies
5,819,100   Boston Red Sox
5,456,428   Detroit Tigers
5,221,801   Texas Rangers

The Yankees and Mets markets are larger as those #s do not take into account NJ, CT, and upstate NY.

The Sox market is also larger as those #s dont incorporate New Hampshire, RI, CT or western Mass.

Also the teams that share markets, more than one team, you more than less divide the markets to share them equally. No one team controls the whole market where there is a competing product.

Ive already read the article you imbecile. Your ignorance and elementary understanding of the way the MLB operates is what causes you to not understand or take the flaws of hte MLB system seriously.

Not to mention the system in place allows the Yankees to expose the flaws and use their advantages to help them succeed.
