I will grant you some of it seems greedy, or that guys are overreaching their value, but some of it just shows us how much players were undervalued before free agency. What would Mickey, Willie, Stan and Ted be worth today? Heck, when they hit a 100K it was called big money and today's rookie salary is what, 400K? Athletes had off season jobs back in the day, so they could earn a living and invest or save for retirement. Face it guys, it is a whole different world now, and a much fairer one to professional athletes. The reserve clause was nothing but indentured servitude. If and when Dak Prescott negotiates with any team, they are now going to go in with the knowledge he is difficult to deal with. If that effects his future then so be it. As for Pippen, I feel for him, but a contract is a contract and your employer has a right to hold you to it. Guys never want to renegotiate their contract when things don't work out as planned and it is obvious they are not worth what they signed for, so what should be different in a case like Pippen's? When Nolan Ryan became the first "Million Dollar Man" folks said that was crazy, heck he only works every fifth day! (Which of course was not true). He proved to be worth every penny and his employers never complained. That was 10X what the "big four" worked for in the fifties and there are guys today making over 10X what Ryan did. I will tell ya guys, sometimes we step way out our league trying to criticize the way a bunch of successful billionaires try to run their enterprises. Let it be. It is what it is. If you are able to get a TT for the Dino’s tonight I would suggest it. Dino’s held to only 3 runs the last 2 games but that was facing Saupold (1.64 ERA) and Kim (1.99 ERA) Now they get Jang (1-2 7.30 ERA ) Was hoping they lost last night so I can hammer NC tonight.
