Well sac, some fast balls are so fast they get by before you have a chance to get scared or soil your shorts. The pitch that would accomplish that would be my son's curve, best that never made the major leagues. To a right handed batter it was 83, 84 right at your head, with no "roundhouse" to it, looked like a slider that got away from him. Ten feet from your head it took a sharp break down and left and hit the outside-low corner. I heard guys scream as they bailed out of the box, then the umpire call "strike". Scary as hell and no defense for it. Another "long, long ago" story but it is true and happened in this galaxy.

As for JEG suggesting all questions be referred to me; I would remind him I am running for president, not Commissioner of Baseball. I don't understand the virtual simulation game any better than anyone else, but I ain't going to call it baseball.

For me the funnest pitch to throw was a 12 to 6 curve, slow as can be. 65 to 70 starting at the hitters head(sometimes higher) and landing at shoelace level. Most of the time it wasn't even a strike, I just enjoyed watching the batter trying to figure out wtf kinda pitch is coming at him.

His body language would say to me "should I swing, where should I swing, when should I swing?" All at the same time.

If he swung, he wasn't hitting it. It if he gotta a piece of it, it usually went backwards or he'd hit it off himself. To me, that was pure satisfaction in frustrating a hitter. I would follow that up with a fastball 99% of the time. The look I'd get from the hitter afterwards was 99% of the time "oh f*ck you man"

On the negative side...if my curves, 2 seamer or change up weren't working for me that day, my 4 seamer was pedestrian. And folks liked hitting that one around the yard.

There's no worse feeling than being behind in the count and knowing that I can only get "this one" over the plate.

I love KBO!! So much fun to watch and tonight we will see some high scoring again.  Doosan is over rated and their top hitter in a huge slump.  It's funny you look at this guy doing good and then realize he makes $400,000 for the season and so don't even try until they get paid more.  Pitching sucks except for a few really good pitchers.  Mostly the umpires suck even more.  It's obvious at times how slanted they are towards home teams.  Don't ge me started on that.

Do you guys really think the season will open up?  I personally think America is far ass-backward in dealing with this pandemic.  We will start to see more deaths ignored and accepted.

Sac, don't go there. You just know some mod with no knowledge of the people here and an iron-clad view of political correctness is going to spot that and jail or ban somebody. HoustonSports or weebles wouldn't let it bother them, but who knows who even works here anymore? By the time this forum is active again we could have a whole new bunch, or none at all, depending on how hard the loss of revenue may have hit Covers. Some of the "political correctness" freaks could run amok. Let us just say some of the umps ///lean/// toward home teams.

Hanwha bats have woken up the last 2 games and the Dino’s have the best offense in the league. Saupold has decent numbers to start this season but big lean to the over 9 tonight
