Wasn't Reagan responsible for a NASA project to prevent a future asteroid from hitting earth? Something about lazers I believe. I'm not sure if the project ever manifesting or how much was spent. But talk about proactive measures in preventing unforeseeable calamity. I appreciate stuff like that.

I'm not sure about asteroids but he had a "Star Wars" concept for mounting lasers or particle beams on satellites and destroying ICBM's in outer space. I don't know how far that has progressed but we won't be told about it anyway until our adversaries concede that we have it and stop building missiles. I doubt we have it or we could shoot down a couple of Kim's missiles just to show him he is wasting his time and resources that North Korea can't afford anyway.

sac, went and picked up a new lew's super duty baitcaster. boy, is this thing sweet. i had always been a daiwa guy, but decided to get some variety. lew's may have won me over. i got it on their MH custom lite speed stick. the touch and feel on this thing is definitely the most sensitive rod i have owned. can't wait for just a few more weeks. retention ponds have still been a slow bite over in the romeoville area

Key I would never call you old,maybe older than,but My Dad is coming up to 89 soon and last time I saw him couple months ago he was still looking good like 10 more years,so as long as we stay healthy we can be around for awhile,I had a Great Aunt pass couple years ago at 103 and she has a sister still alive at 96,so you never know how long you will be around.
