I dont see anything today which interests me. There is TXN and ALTR but I dont see great value options wise or volitility wise..but I would lean towards the call side if I were betting.
Tomorrow I see plenty of candidates including-
AMZN- Stock at 72, if you wanted to straddle the 70/75, its not a pure straddle but both positions are in the money and actually pretty cheap. It would cost 11 to get both positions in the money OR at the strike of 72.50 would cost 8.70 to buy both sides. To me buying the 75 puts at 6 gives you 3 bucks in the money, thus a real cost of 3 per contract. The 70 calls are going for 5 and change which are 2 in the money..but it also shows which way the MMs are thinking the stock will go. Calls are priced higher than puts.
XTO might be worth looking at since it is right near a strike too.
FSLR isnt until next week, I will wait it out..

ATHR getting blasted around 8% down right now. Lots of gambles comming up in next few days. Might go small on amzn 70 put 72.50 call. Not sure yet though. Had some limit orders in on friday for some goog calls and got lucky they didn't fill cuz they would have today. Just got back in town and wasn't sure if did day only or good till cancelled. Wow, I finally caught a break! mIght jump in some of the pink sheet solars.

I was actually thinking they held UP GOOG on friday and it should gravitate towards and below 500..today it was down some but I think it should move down quite a bit more given the extra expenses incurred and the miss on the profits expectations.

NTRI has earnings today, I was looking and the stock is square at the strike now (65) but the net debit is 10 per contract doing a straddle..to get a double you need over 10% move, doesnt seem like a smart play..I wish I could and maybe I still will..I dunno.
HOKU also has earnings today..

60 put/ 70 call would have probably made a 30% return, if AMZN crosses 85 tomorrow (likely) then the straddle (quasi) I did should profit 50% on the investment.
Unfortunately the 70 calls alone were a 3 bagger, I bot at 5.30 or so and a move over 85 prices them at 15 per contract..
Any profit is great though...

Nice job on amzn ws, I pussed out twice. On goog and amzn. Ready to make move today. 85put with 90call 9.20 debit on ffiv. Still searching others though.

I was actually wondering if a wider spread on FFIV made more sense..if we think it moves more than the contract strike then it might make more sense to consider a strike out on both sides to lower the cost.
AAPL is one we need to consider..BIDU is another.
Any views on those?
