It's going to be an interesting race on Friday that's for sure.
Pletcher has a couple horses in there that cost 900K and 800K
The 3 Soldat almost won the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf last year.
The 7 Halo's Thunder was competitive in a G2 and a G3 toward the end of last year.

The 4 Cool Blue Red Hot ran a big Fig at Belmont in his first start and then could have bounced a little bit or something but won his maiden race the next time.
Dialed In has his work cut out for him in this race Roused.

doesnt look like the best of bunch in this race to me-- pace setup looks slow-- maybe the 3 goes out and steals it-- i like the #6 lauburu at 6-1 ml-- didnt beat much in debut but to me this group looks soft- im playing #6 to win and place and a tri 1,6/1,6/all

If you're talking to me, I never said this was the best of the bunch. I said these are better horses than what Dialed In ran against in his first race, which was 3 or 4 first time starters, a couple horses who came from Hoosier, one from Presque Isle Downs, etc.

im not addressing your post- no-- im just saying it doesnt look like a strong bunch- if dialed in cant beat this group with a normal trip or at least be right there then he wont be a derby entry

Don't know if I agree with you on that. There's two stakes competitive horses in this race and two almost million dollars cost each Pletcher horses that are probably going to be good. And another horse that ran a 105 Bris Speed Figure in his debut. Don't think it's over if he loses this race.

No graded earnings yet and if he cant handle these then he cant get into the exacta in a grade 1-- only chance would be to tru weaker grade 1 outside fla and i dont see Zito needing to to that as he has other derby hopefuls-- listen, the debut was visually impressive but it was 6.5 for 2 yr olds that went fast early and he closed in a normal time to win-- not that special really-- if he goes out and ropms friday then good and he gets his shot at real earnings but im not buying he will

Good point. I wasn't even thinking about the Graded Earnings. I'm not sold on him either. Check my other posts in this thread. The announcer at Churchill kind of overreacted to what happened to Dialed In in that race in my opinion. The slow start, the supposed trouble on the turn.
I was just saying it's not an embarassment to lose to a few of these horses in this race on Friday.

On the other hand, most people think that Gourmet Dinner is already in the Derby field after winning the 1 million purse Delta Jackpot.
Even if Dialed In doesn't hit the money here, all he has to do is explode in one big race like the Fountain of Youth and he can make the field.
He's a young , improving and growing horse and all that. All it really takes is one good run to make the Derby field.

You laid out the stupidity of these bets a while back. Some people never learn though, as they can get similar odds or better on their future's horse on Derby Day. And a lot of times these horses don't even run, so people feel smart even though they usually are crapping their money away.

Here's an article I found about the race on Friday. Comments from horse players below the article.
thanks for sharing the article-- the comments underneath it show the public will be firing away on dialed in-- thats fine with me as i will pound the 1,3 and 6 all different ways and throw out dialed in and hopefully cash a nice ticket- i just dont understand all the hype on a 6.5 maiden winner in a average time?

great race cards not too shabby as well.... awesome can't wait
certainly rootin for ya roused, zito is a good guy to root for as well.
I see some value here in the double plays. Not sure if I'm going to single Dialed In here because I like the (7) Halo's Thunder I've burnt some money up on him earlier so at a surprising 8/1 I'd like to get some back, so looking at double wheels here and shootin for some longshots on the other ends I could play double wheels with both and it would only be 48 bucks I'm going to be involved for sure best of luck Roused would certainly like to see ya do well with this one...you've been really on him loud and proud

The #7 Halo's Thunder caught my eye. I'm not picking him right now though. I'm thinking there might be something hidden there because he's been running in some decent races his last 3.
I'm going to throw out his last because it was on turf. He probably doesn't like turf. The trainer is 28% turf to dirt in 54 tries. And they are putting blinkers on him.
Obviously the #3 Soldat is dangerous too.

DaCrusha and I both made our posts at 6:48 am and we are both talking about Halo's Thunder.
I didn't read your post before I made mine. Impossible , we're only 4 seconds apart.

crazy.... ut oh (7)
I've been messin around with the idea of using the (5) L's Legacy 15/1 morning line in the next race 10 as a single with all previous, any input there, just running some data and I'm likin the 5.

race 10 is for sure wide open-- i remember the gulfstream turf seems to favor front end types but at that distance maybe a closer can get up and if so then the #5 could be right there-- i was liking the #1 when looking for the best closer- finally gets turf again and has the past #'s to win-- certainly a very wide open race and i can make a case for 10 of the runners

indeed the (1) is going to make it exciting late....I normally don't get too involved about carrying weight but here I'm liking the fact the 5 is getting the benefit
thanks for the input with the (1) I think I'm going to take a stand with the race and only use the 1,5, & 6 with my multiple race wagers

the only bet that i can think of that might be worse than the derby future bet(at any odds) is playing black jack at a church picnic where the dealer takes ties....
