Question for Religious Folks

I don't know God but I fear his wrath.I'm just tryin' to stay focused on the righteous path.

I don't go to church and I rarely pray but I do consider myself a christian.I live far from a sin free life but I try to do right by my fellow man, and I do what I reasonably can to help take care of our planet that he created.If it bothers anybody that I believe in God I could give a fuck.

Exactly...he uses people like ClubDirt and Mikael ( they don't doesn't know they are  being used) to mock believers and spread doubt and confusion about Gods' very existence.

Religion, especially the Christian religion is based on FAITH.  You either have it or you don't.  Nobody has faith all of the time, and living in a world where the ruler of the world is the head demon himself, (SATAN) Christians are under fire all of the time.  The Christian religion calls for believers to live with only one foot in this world...the things of this world are supposed to to essentially meaningless...Christians are supposed to live for life after death, but that is better said than done, as anyone with faith knows oh, too well...Faith is the key...

yeah, my avatar does have a mocking tone, but it's more of a response to the less tolerant aspect of religion that i see so much of between the two extremely similar religions of islam and christianity.  but if you are the kind of christian that sees everyone as equal- muslims, atheists, gays, blacks, etc. then the message certainly isn't directed to you.   

NOBODY knows for sure where they are going after they die, even the POPE himself lives on the faith that he is doing Gods work, earning him a spot in heaven, or wherever he thinks he's going.... There isn't anyone who ever lived, not matter how religious or pious, that knows for sure where they are going after they depart the earthly plane. Nobody.

So, how does one EARN a spot in heaven?

yeah i don't know about that one.  the catholic church is the biggest organized child molesting group in modern history and the pope facilitated it and covered it up.  how is a guy like that on the list?   are you going to tell me that a regular guy who just lives a normal, good life but has no use for religion is out while the guy who facilitated a huge child molestation scandal is in?  

LIke I said, nobody knows, the Pope or Pope's may be total frauds.  Some of them were most likely good God-fearing men, but some of them maybe not.  That goes with any preacher or so-called men or women of Faith.  

 Can a regular guy go to a better place after he dies? Well, the established religions tell us that it's not likely, but who really knows.  

This is a subject that every person must come to terms with by themselves. 

Nobody can advise you and nobody can make your mind up for you.  

This is the single most personal subject that anyone can possibly deal with in their lives.

There is only 1 way to Heaven and its not because you believe in God.  Satan believes in God, he has seen Him 1st hand, but he isnt going to Heaven.  The only way to Heaven is through Jesus. No worldly deeds make ANY difference in getting there.

My grandfather was Catholic and used to tell me that the Pope was the closest man to God on this earth.  I wish I had the knowledge that I have now back then because he was soooo wrong.  The Pope is just another sinner in the eyes of God.  Either he is saved and going to Heaven through Jesus or he is not.  He is just like everybody else on this earth who lives.  Simply a sinner.

The Bible is a history book, not a story book.  For anyone to say otherwise simply means that you havent read it or you would know.

I recently invited Jesus to be my Lord and Savior after 36 years of life.  I actually had been going to a church for the past 10 years and thought I was Heaven bound.  I walked around every day of my life being a "good person" and thinking I had it made.  The church I went to was a dead Presbyterian Church.  I was then invited by a friend to another church that was "alive".  It was a surreal experience.  Over the next month I came to realize how lost I really was until I was broken down into a mild panic.  I knew then that I was hell bound and had an overwelming desire to "get right with God".  My life has not been the same since.  Does that mean that all is rosey? No, but now I know my purpose and the real meaning of life.  For anyone who hasnt experienced a personal relationship with Jesus, it is unfair for you to just throw out opinions without the knowledge to back them up.  Alot of the questions here that you think no one knows the answers to have answers.  You can know things, but not without the relationship with Christ.  I totally understand that this sounds all hokey and stuff and I also understand that it uncomprehendable by someone who hasnt excepted Jesus as his Savior.  Remember, I was just on the other side of the fence my whole life, but this is real and I hope and pray that everyone finds the truth as I have.

I feel the same,SuperE. I like to have a little fun with people though,because; like you,I KNOW that they have to truly believe it before they see it rather than see IT and FEEL it to believe it. People do this on THEIR time,and I'M OKAY with that. I think it's simply a Spiritual Evolution for Humans...but to tell some people is like insulting them as far as they're concerned.I think ALL this CRAZY MESS will turn out just fine in everyone's own END !  

Everyone knows the story of the prodigal son, but I am here to tell you that there are MANY MANY more people wandering aimlessly through life like I was, thinking that they are ok.  Thinking that they are living a good life and doing good things for people, and yada yada.  They are in a happy comfort zone.  Satan loves that.  Those are the ones who will wander right off the cliff when they die without any effort from Satan.  It is scary to think that I could have sat in my previous church for that long, while living a "good" life with my family, yet would have gone to hell if I had died.  And thats exactly what would have happened to me had I not changed churches and experienced the Holy Spirit.  People, I am your everyday, average, good guy with a wife and kids.  I played all sports and have a college degree in Fitness Management.  Have been a police officer for 7 years and own a business.  I am not a weirdo religious fanatic. I have gambled, drank, cursed, strip clubbed and whatever else you can think of other than drugs. I did not set foot in a church from the age of 11 until 22.  I only started going at 22 because of my wife.  The point I am trying to make with all this info is that I am Ordinary Joe, not some wierd Bible thumper or a believer of hokey crap.  If anybody who reads this sees a reflection of themselves, ask yourself 1 question.  If I die tommorrow where will I go?  The Bible says that "you can know that you know that you know".  I had NO comprehension of what this meant until I invited Jesus into my life, but now I FULLY understand what it means and I am absolutley sure of where I am going.
