No it is actually not immoral at all. The main purpose is to point out the world would be a perfect place if the 10 commandments were the law for everyone.
As for the sacrifice, murder, genocide those were much different times, different people, and all of that bad stuff is a result of mans sin. Remember we were all supposed to live perfectly and nakedly in the garden of eden until Adam and Eve ate the apple.
So basically, I'm only supposed to look at the people who believe in God or in churches who haven't molested children? Ignore all the rest?
There are plenty of people doing just as much good in the world who may not believe in God as the people you list above. Why does it have to be a church group? What about the Peace Corps? They don't get credit becase they aren't affiliated with a church?
God can grant everlasting life, but he has no ability to do anything about the people who are sexually abusing the very people they proclaim to protect in His name. The Pope has spit in God's face based on his actions. The leader of one of the largest religions in the world. And I'm sure he rationalizes it in his mind that it's God's plan and that these "offenders" can be saved. He is using religion to forward his own agenda. It's so obvious it's sickening. And how 'bout the followers of the Catholic church? They actually put up with this. 
I know, I know. Free will. But what about the child that gets to heaven and asks God, "why did you let me suffer in your name for all those years?" God says, "well, I can grant you everlasting life, but I can't stop others from abusing you."
God has a plan for everyone, but that could certainly include plenty of suffering because apparently He has no ability to affect anything that happens on earth (unless you listen to some who say the flood that hit NO was because of the homosexuals). Apparently now God can effect weather, but can't prevent a child from being terrorized by someone who represents Him at the highest level.
Well you make some good points. As a freedom loving protestant even our church was subject to catholic oppression and we believe in the same God and savior 
. They chased Martin Luther across Europe and actually burnt many others at the stake. Hmm maybe they really are some bad guys.

You're kidding right? The first three are all about worship me ("god"). Sounds a little egotistical. 4 don't work on the sabbath? Wow that is terrible to do! 5 honor thy mother and father? The Catholic Church believes in a page long checklist of man made up junk. Any claim that works or rituals must be added to faith in order for salvation to be achieved is a claim that Jesus' death was not sufficient. True Christianity hinges totally on the death and resurrection of Christ.
