Someone finally nailed it. I feel as if I'm going to lose my mind in there. 

No computer, which will distance me from the outside world. Which means no access to COVERS.  Actualy, no access to anything that is important to me in my life.

The hardest part is getting everything completely taken away from me.  Family, dogs, house, possibly job. How are they going to survive with out me?

Im ranting on, possibly not the best idea given its almost 5 a.m. here.  Keeps Lightning and Thundering  outside, I guess its a perfect metaphor for the situation, that Im about to embark in.

This is true.  You'll be begging for phone time and reading all types of books. 

FreezyF, you're gonna meet a bunch of the same type in there that want to just do the time and gtfo.  Hang in there, you'll probably meet someone in there that's in the same boat and maybe find new connections.  But, write a bunch of letters and hope they write back.  Hold onto tradable items like candy, cheese, and peanut butter. And when gfs send you pics you don't want to share that with anyone. lol. But nine months should be nothing.

If you had been in Canada...you would not have gone to jail. And in BC they would have confiscated your weed and told you to have a nice day.

 

Make sure you and your cell mate get along.Get into lifting ,cause thats something you and your cell mate can do to pass time when in your cell(u both use each other as weights).Also if you get into a beef ,dont back down,yet try to get him in a body lock position/head lock/etc.,for the reason that depending on where the beef is ,it could last some time,before being broke up.When u first get in,you will be challenged....Dont be a box,defend yourself ,and dont act like a box if you get beat.Show you will not be anyones bitch,without a fight.One more thing,Dont worry about anything,you will not be with inmates that want to cause trouble,due to the faxct that with less than a year of time,u most likly will be with others whom are to be let out soon also,so they will not want to add on extra time.Its not as bad as u think...good luck,and excercise your body and mind while your inside!!!

My brothers good friend just got out of State. He said the 1st day he was in there someone come up in the middle of the group and said "What you got" He then knocked the shit of him and they tussled for an hour with my brothers friend getting the shit beat out of him but not before he gets some good shots in. From then on everyone knew he wasnt goin down without a fight so nobody messed with him

I wouldn't be able to handle being in jail for more then a week. I think I'd go insane. I seriously would probably flee the country or go live in the woods instead.

Look on the bright side. After 9 months-your gonna come out of jail feeling like a new woman.

I posted that I wanted to smoke pot, but didnt know how to get it - and the suggestions came in - and somehow I settled on asking the pizza guy.  I actually did this, and documented it here - and it turned in to a hilarious thread.  I noticed some of the people who posted in this thread were also in that thread, so I posted the line for a laugh.

Nothing personal - I actually was a little disturbed with your situation - and certainly hope things work out for you.  From what I know (which is nothing, just like 99% of people you will get advice from), all of this violence stuff is silly - its the boredom - and restrictions - and lack of choice that will get to you.  I would write a book, just start writing and dont stop.

Best advice I can give is pass the time by playing cards or ping pong if they have ping pong where your at. Try to read as much as possible & sleep as much as possible. The food is terrible so breakfast is probably your best meal. Find the people that don't get up for breakfast & trade away your lunch tray for their breakfast tray. Trust me double serving of cheerios & fruit is better then baloney sandwiches & baked beans. I'm sure where your going will be open with pods or bunks & not locked cells unless you get a stripe in your jacket (jail record) then they put u in the shu. There are so many people in prison i don't think u have anything to worry about as far as getting raped. They do it for snickers bars nasty shit.

oh i almost forgot, most fighting takes place in bathroom or the yard. If you do have to fight don't walk into the bathroom first try to back into a corner so no one can get behind you & remember dicks is probably gonna be swinging b/c it's the showers.
