GREAT NEWS........The worst is over, she has Pneumonia, and they are treating it with anti-biotics....what a relief, I thought I was gonna lose her and after 41yrs
She should be fine in a few more days.......I can't begin to THANK everyone for the thoughts, concerns, and PRAYERS.

Just saw this thread in GD, read the first page....stopped and said a nice prayer for you and Judy all the way in the Bahamas.....kept reading but was worried because of so many pages but I felt a great relief when I found out she is recovering.....you've blessed me with good luck in a number of my threads and I really thank you.

We have never talked but judging by all the guys speaking very highly of you, you seem like your a pretty stand up guy...
Just started reading from page 1. In the past six months Ive lost not one but two of the most important people in my life. My father was killed by a drunk driver before I was born so my uncle and grandfather shared the father role for me. they both very recently passed. Im 25 now and I can honestly say Ive never been through anything even close to as hard as deaths.
Not to mention my uncle died basically trying to save my grandfathers life....long story.... but bottom line im so happy for you that she is ok. Cherish what you have, dont ever take things for granted and live a happy life... this could end up being a positive thing in the end....

41 years tells me you and her are no spring chickens. Pneumonia isn't out of the woods for someone in their late 50's, 60's, or 70's unless otherwise healthy. Pneumonia is a common occurrence after surgery usually due to improper or lack of deep-breathing exercises post-operatively. Hard to believe she had general anesthesia w/ her tiny and fragile condition as you mentioned...it must have been a pretty serious surgey. Hopefully she has a full recovery.
One other thing, while she is in the hospital I would ensure proper hand-washing and glove-wearing by all who take care of or visit her to include you. Drug-resistant bacteria are commonly found in hospitals due to the antibiotics used to cure illnesses. Improper hand-washing or non-gloving can lead to worse problems.
