Sending positive thoughts your way.....

Pneumonia can be such a bitch...especially for the older or frail.  Lets hope the right antibiotics are on board.

Do us all in the healthcare field a favor.  Make sure she has something called an incentive spirometer in her room and that she is using it every hour she is awake.  Have someone show her how to use it properly (it is pretty simple, deep breathing really) and have her cough afterwards.  Can make a BIG difference.

UPDATE: The Dr. came by this a.m. and is pleased with the progress. They had her up and walking and she ate a good breakfast. Still runnin' a little fever but, things are lookin' better.

I went through some pretty bad times in 2005, and I can tell you, I turned to God to help me through it. I was lucky to also have many friends that helped me with their thoughtful prayers, and it is really touching to see the support you have recieved from our Covers community. I am glad to hear she is improved.  God bless you and your family.
