Staying with an abusive boyfriend or man doesn't mean the woman brings the abuse on to themselves... I just can't agree with that. Are these women stupid for staying in such a situation? In my opinion they absolutely are. That doesn't mean they deserve it or they bring it on themselves. It's their men who lack control (and balls, IMO, for striking a woman) -- those types of men will always come up with a justification for why it's the woman's fault that they hit her, and if she only didn't do XYZ then he wouldn't have to do that.

But you know lots of women are attracted to these men in the first place. I am not even talking about staying with the guy. I am talking about these girls go for these guys that you can probably tell are hotheads and will probably be abusive. I honestly think a lot of girls think it is exciting and dramatic and they actually like it. I know it sounds twisted but I really think psychologically its true.

I don't doubt legwand that some of these women are attracted to men they think are "dangerous" because its "exciting". That still doesn't mean they are asking for abuse or deserve it, IMO
