But I will end this post on a positive note. And by "positive" I mean, I am positive of one thing: Anybody owed money by betEd will get it back.

We at Covers.com don't take kindly to having our clients money stolen from them. Hell, it makes us look bad. They were on our list.
We will do everything in our power to get your money back and in your hands. We are going to ask, beg, talk, whine, shout, whisper, or write to whoever it takes to get that money released to the players.
That is a promise.

Please do the right thing.
If you can not or will not get a good deal
for the players who had their money stolen by betED
then let SBR do the job.
Covers creditability is near zero, and if no bailout
arrives you are finished, and you should know that.
It's not about how much money you can make out
of any potential bailout but how much money you
will lose if none arrives.
Players simply will never trust you again.

I can't comment because it's the first I've heard of this supposedly last minute offer. I'm not an owner, so I'm not privy to that kind of info.
I will say that emailing a database is like handing over the keys to the car.
Frankly, I hope they get something done. Maybe they can let me know how it goes.

Freedom- It sounds like to me that you feel Beted deserves something out of a deal. Like cash up front. Even though they are merely handing over debt. What is your take in the matter? Do you feel Beted should get to sell their database at this point?
