    Italy vs Costa Rica:

Italy will control this match from start to finish.  Costa Rica will get a chance or two on the counter against an Italian defense not as strong as it once was.  However, Italy possess a significantly better midfield and are far too classy in the final third for the likes of Costa Rica.  Expect a respectable match with Italy winning comfortably by 1 or 2.  Debated whether to play the asian handicap but I am comfortable laying the juice as it is not so bad.

    France vs Switzerland:

I find myself making another two unit play for this one.  France were fortunate to have a man advantage last match which allowed them to comfortably defeat Honduras.  Switzerland are riding a second half outburst in breaking the hearts of the 1-0 half time leading Ecuadorians with a late winner.  Switzerland have openly said they will sit-back and counter-attack, but I think they will have more possession then the tactics indicate.  Will be a great match with two quality, organized Europeans sides.  I think there is tremendous value on the draw in this one as their is not as big a gap in talent between the sides as the public may think.

    Ecuador vs Honduras:

Both sides showed to be especially physical, especially Honduras as Palacios was tragically dismissed early versus the French.  Ecuador let one slip away against the Swiss and both sides will look for the victory.  Ecuador can match and I think surpass the speed and physicality of Honduras, combined with superior quality and more discipline, I like them to beat Honduras.  Going to play the -1.5 as once Ecuador has a lead Honduras will sacrifice defensively and Ecuador are speedy enough to punish them.

    Germany vs Ghana:

Ghana are organized and will counter versus the Germans.  Germany is excellent in attack and I expect them to win this one.  There is certainly value on BTTS (both teams to score) as Germany are far from world class at the moment in terms of defensive shape.  They gave up many chances against Portugal and will give up a few today against the opportunistic Ghanains.  I have a strong feeling about the exact score in this one as well.

    Nigeria vs Bosnia:

VALUE - Nigeria are playing with heavy hearts after recent tragedy back home and will come out like Super Eagles today.  Bosnia is certainly proud as well so I cannot say they will have any less motivation to ease the suffering going on there.  Nigeria possess a lethal counter-attack which was stifled against the stifling Iranians (Argentina game).  Bosnia are a solid and well-balanced squad, but against the physically imposing and decent defense of Nigeria, I think this one is an upset.  One of my favourite plays thus far.

    Belgium vs Russia:

Both sides struggled in their openers, with Belgium charging late for the 3 points.  Russia look like one of the weakest teams in the tournament to me.  Mediocre midfield, suspect defending and no real link-up play with the forwards.  Korea is far from a defensive juggernaut and Russia barely scored once in that match.  I think we see a more confident Belgium, a Belgium that is exciting and capable of scoring beautiful goals.  I really like Belgium here to take the 3 points.

    South Korea vs Algeria:

Two teams that are offensive minded yet not talented enough to achieve what the tactics set out too.  Have to say this is a fairly even contest and I think South Korea are just slightly better than Algeria.  Do not see a draw as both sides need 3 points, but I do see attacking football and a more than likely chance of both sides scoring.

    Portugal vs USA:

Ronaldo looks like he is playing and what a gamble that is.  Personally I do not know the extent of his injury, but I do know that he will change the face of this match.  The US will be aware of him on the blistering counter and more often than not I think he will be doubled up and contained.  The midfield battle will be interesting as I see no edge to either side.  Defensively the US played like lions last match and I expect a similar effort in this one.  Should be a tight match as Portugal are not eliminated with a draw and the US are fine with one.  Looks to me like Portugal will defeat Ghana and Germany will defeat the USA, meaning a draw here and Portugal will need to win by about 3 against Ghana and hope the US lose by 2 to Germany (ties GD).  In all, I expect a low-scoring game in Manaus, with a good chance of a draw.

    Draw (+305)
    Under 2.5 (+102)

Bookmaker just doesn't offer some of these props... I took the over 1.75 -180 in lieu of BTTS. They also offer over 1.25 though? What is the difference between these? Thanks...

1.75 means half of your bet is on over 1.00 and half on 2.00
1.25 means half of your bet is on 1.00 and half on 1.99 (anything less than 2, key thing is that 2 results in a win)
