I say he's probably similar to Stafford. He has the "STUFF" but his numbers weren't eye popping in college. He's just a guy they expect to translate into a star. He must be something if he was a possible #1 overall last year.

Yes guy is super inactive. He post on covers all the time but never stops in here ever. Lets trades sit there for weeks. We will see...

Yea...I sent an offer his way yesterday and it's still sitting. The only thing I can think of is he makes his lineups for the week and lets it ride or he has an app on his phone that doesn't show trade offers and that's how he sets his lineups.

You shouldn't. You have ERA and WHIP locked up and all but have Ks locked up.

You should be mad at guys who continue to underperform...not guys who have a bad outing once in a while.

ManRam: good news on Utleys progress, his lateral movement is night and day compared to last week.. on a sports talk radio show i listen to everyday they interviewed phils GM.   

Umm have you looked at David Price this year? A ERA of 4. A whip od 1.3. 4 or more runs in half of his games. Far from good. Especially for a "ace"

I was offered Sabathia, Ellsbury and Marmol for Cargo and Hellickson.

If this wasn't a keeper league...I could have very well excepted that. But the fact that Hellboy could be held on for 4 more years and Cargo already is on my team for 3 more years...it couldn't be done.

And I have a question about NEXT year.

We do our draft...but do we give anyone a contract? If so...how many and how many years? And do we get a new rookie contract EVERY season as well as a contract to give to another guy for 1 more year at season's end?

Sparky: im under the impression we get the "Prospect" contract and the "Franchise Tag"  every year..   the Franchise Tag is the one we assign to a player picked up in the last 9 rounds of the draft or off of Free Agent List, Not off Waivers...  so round 15 or later if you got a guy who's having a hell of a year you assign him a 1yr contract AKA the "Franchise Tag"..      the Prospect Contract has to be assigned to a player eligable for the ROY award.      (correct me if im wrong on that ManRam but i read over the rules alot to get an understanding of this Keeper League)

i dont blame you for not doing that trade..  u want Cargo/Hellickson for multiple years rather then Ellsbury/CC n Marmol for this year..   

i got offered a trade from PlatinumStubs for Hanley, tell me what you think...    Hanley/10th Rd pick next yr for  Vlad/A.Gonzalez/5th Rd pick next yr.     i do think its a fair offer but my needs arent 2 offensive guys, i want a C or a Stud SP if Hanley goes...    he'll come around soon just like Cargo

i dont think we do cause we on ly allowed 10 contracts before being penalized a Draft pick, i just think we get the Prospect and Franchise if we choose to use them
