Heres the thing. I could trade Jeter with pretty much no problem because i have Lowrie and Kinsler. So it was kinda Gonzalez for Marcum, Papelbon, Napoli.
On the other side you have Montero for a catcher and tons of closers. So from your point of view it was Marcum for Jeter and Gonzalez.
Get what im saying? Its not always about the names but what you can deal from your team because of the teams depth.

I was trying to trade Mariano for a solid pitcher. I tried trading him for Romero and Hamels but both fell through. I stocked up on closers knowing I'd trade them for another need.
Then I had theriot and was looking for either a SS OR 2B. But then he was hurt so I picked up Murphy and had no choice but to get a SS. I didn't like Jeter but when you said that he'll get those 100+ runs scored...I said "Hey...you're right. Good point". So then I was looking to get him.
Napoli is great but he's limited to lefties. He doesn't start against righties but pinch hits when a left comes in. He's not worth having him but I knew I couldn't just drop him. He has a lot of value if a catcher or Moreland goes down and he hits in the DH spot too. He gets his ABs and makes the most of them...he should just get more.
I really like Gio AND Marcum but it was pretty much a tossup even though I think Marcum is a bit better and will probably get more wins and strikeouts while Gio will have better ERA/WHIPS because of where he pitches.

You don't add Papelbon...but I certainly subtract him. Lets not forget that, if it weren't for him, neither trade gets done.

I hit like 15 one year and lost it. Only 15 and I was devistated when I lost. Too difficult, mentally, for me. Talk about a "grind".

. Seriously though everything good with you and your family? It missed me. They said it was an absolute miracle that it missed the 4 largest counties in Georgia. The worst I had was hail. Still beyond scary having to watch the news and see what has happened everywhere.
