Fantasy League Discussion Part #7

To put it on the record...it's not like I'm throwing the league. That would be stupid. But when nothing is working...why should I stick with what I have if I keep losing? So while I lost HRs/RBIs over the past week...I've picked up runs/SB (Figgins, Andrus, Borbon, Cargo and Span) and also helped my pitching.

I do, however, refuse to ever make another trade with ManRam ever again because Sandoval, Scutaro, Morneau, Gio, Wilson, Lidge and Hamels were all on my team at one point.

You don't make any money for making the playoffs

You make money by getting into the playoffs and having the following players

Cabrera
Morneau
Crawford
Votto



And like I have stated earlier I have never seen a fantasy team win without any closers, its fantasy 101

All i can say is he told everyone he will trade Morneau for 2 starting pitchers. Not just me but everyone who visits this thread. I offered him 2 fantastic pitchers and Ludwick for Morneau. I just dont see how this is handing anyone players. Ya i got Gio Gonzalez because i threw Luwick in there and dident want to be stuck with only 4 SP. It was going to be just Vargas and Garcia for Morneau but i needed that 5th SP. Once again i will say would this trade be lopsided if it were Felix Hernandez and CC Sabathis for Justin Morneau. I think not. Both Garcia and Vargas are blowing them out of the water

And Runs/SB are easier to predict than HRs/RBIs because speed doesn't quit. It will be hard to lose runs and SB for me now. And Pena, Boesch, Rollins and Cargo can still give me HRs and maybe keep me going in future weeks.

Not true. Check out this team from 2 years ago that i had. I cahsed in for 2nd in the regular season and 2nd in the playoffs.

It's not like THOSE guys have him in first. It has more to do with Cabrera, Johnson, Gardner, Byrd, AGon, Votto, Garcia and Gallardo.

I JUST lost Morneau.

Gio has been on my team about 4 times now. I perfer Garcia/Vargas.

Wilson/Lidge wouldn't have helped me against you last week nor would they have helped me this week.

Hamels has been very impressive. So the only person I regret giving up is Hamels.

Thats not the point in my eyes... For example I wouldn't make that trade with you cause I have a shot... I would realize that you still have Hamels, Verlander, Gallardo, Gio...3 or 4 closers and now Morneau...  You know what your doing and so do I... The whole point is when a team is in last place they DONT care...  Its kinda like the Pittsburgh Pirates, they trade their studs at the break, one team gets better and the Pirates get worse... Its like Spraky is making a salary dump

Whatever , I don't want to be a nag... I don't mean to pick on Sparky bit he has made about 15 trades and Most of them are more than questionable...  Sparky when you get bored play PlayStation, stop trading... Just kidding whatever though

And my comment has been "Send me offers for Morneau if anyone is interested" and nobody else sent me an offer aside from phillyfan and I liked ManRam's offer better because I perfer depth in pitching.

Your best offer was Wells and Markakis and I didn't want too many outfielders. I just happened to get one from ManRam.

I was talking with powerade for about a week but he stalled too much to get a deal working. We never got too far. The best offer I gave him was Soriano, Meek and Glaus for Morneau and he responded with "Hmmmmmmmmmmm" and that's where our conversation ended.

So I'm much more content with this offer.

Once again all i can say is its not like he puts a post up and says FOR MANRAM24s EYES ONLY. I will only trade to manram. He tells ALL OF US who he wants to deal and what hes looking for. How can you be mad or not understand. You could have had Morneau in a trade for Pettite and you dident want to trade his old ass. Thats not my problem man. He was yours to have at the beginning of the week. Stop sleeping at the wheel

I don't think you've had the same core players on your team for more than 2-3 weeks at a time....how do you know it would or wouldn't work lol

 

Not only that there is a reason why i come in here when someone has a player up for trade i say i promise i will have your player by the end of the night if i want them. I asked you for Longoria but you said you dont want anything to do with trading him. If you did i promise you he would be on my team. I was ready to give Gonzalez, Garcia and Wilson to you for him but you said no chance of trading him. I just dont think of the trade im doing but i make sure i have at least one more trade after it. What can i say im good at trading.
