GD this pisses me off...........I enter a thread about a game and I have to scroll through all the Jerry Springer bullshit to hear some solid stats/opinions on the game...........Can we please keep it to the game at hand?  It wasnt this bad last year...............

Anyway...........go SOFLA............for what its worth.

1 more thing and im out for the night.... on NOV 8th WV vs LOU the o/u will be 80 something and still go over with ease.... chalk that up for the lock of the year.... GN and GL everyone

Well pounded on Boise St at the half but still having a hard time to figure this one out. 2 very good teams always are hard pick to make.

Still looking at the fact that USF starts strong and WVU seems to start slow and finish hard. kinda shaky playing against the home dog with a strong defense.

Also looked at the O/U on this one. By the looks of both teams you would easily say over, but when you look at the scores in their games with each other it stays on 50 points. So I scratched that idea.

Going against my stay away discipline on this one? Should I just wait till Saturday?

With all that said I will play a small play on......

OVER the total is my play for this game. No, I'm not right but about 67% of the time up till now. I enjoy the helpful insight of such players as BDHPD, 3RD and long, danstyk,colonel jim and several others on this forum.  That being said, I've been researching o/u totals for the last 6 years and i have came up with a trend thats only failed me once over that period of time. If a total is moved 5 or more points in either direction, such as this game's opening total of 61 now standing at 55 at my book, GO AGAINST the public. I apologize for the long writeup but wanted to get my point across. Thanx to all of you who provide helpful insight to this forum. GL to all

as for the game...i was down at maryland and could not believe just how damn fast wvu looked...i mean it wasn't even funny.  i know sf is an up and comer...but this one won't be close at the end...wvu easy.

I think WV is the play here. Last year Pat White had a bad ankle sprain and couldn't run steve slaten had hurt his arm and he was not a factor. They are both healthy and S F will not be able to stop them this year. I look for WV to score fast and take the crowd out of this game WV38 SF21.

 When you look at last years game you will see WVU scored 19 points, go look at the rest of their games most 42 none less than 30. They were not the same team because of injuries. When you look at SF 2 losses last year they were to Big East teams. SF will be playing a different team than they faced last year and the result will be much different.  on WVU  on over 56

Yep, It's sho nuff comes outta your own pocket when you lose, nobody else's. And by the way, I was refering to that "always up" fellow before, who pissed everybody on this board off.
 
And I too saddle my own horses, and pick my own selections, win, lose or draw.....but it never hurts to get a consensus of opinion from those guys whom you respect and know about in here, before making an intelligent decision......

I'm leaning on South Florida @Home, in their biggest game ever, with national repercussions and a high ranking awaiting, not to mention the 'King of the BE'  title in the mix as well. These guys know what it takes to beat West Va, having been there.

Bigeiii had a good point about the Bulls line. Factor in that WVU didn't show last year and I believe White got hurt. Add the revenge factor, the Big East Hoo Ha and I've gotta take WVU on this one.

Hey all. New to the forums. I live in Tampa, FL and have been listening to all the hype and stats around the city for two weeks now. The feeling here is that the game will be to close to call. USF has their starting RB returning tonight. Still trying to find out how he looked in practice.
 
Ray J is sold out to a tune of 65,000 fans. I have been to bulls games before (w/ less crowd) and it gets pretty loud. however, I think WV uses a silent count anyway.
 
Weather in Tampa today is pretty muggy. H of 91 30% chance of rain. It always rains late in the day, so about 3:30 - 4:00 we will get some. This could make the field soft if we get enough of it.
 
No betting on this one I. Just gunna watch. Nut I will post any relavent info I get throughout the day.

It is probably going to rain during the game tonight, if not just before.  I live in Florida just south of tampa and have to deal with it every day.  With that said their will be a lot of running in this game,as if WV doesn't run the ball a lot anyways.  This game is sold out:  The hype was never more in evidence than Sunday at the Sun Dome, the campus basketball arena, where students camped out overnight for the allotted 12,501 student tickets. By 11 that night, more than 100 tents were pitched alongside the building as a barefoot Leavitt visited the fans and encouraged them to bring their "A'' games and their "A'' voices. Why the odd 12,501 number? West Virginia gives out a Big East-record 12,500 student tickets to home games and the Bulls are going after the record.
Noel Devine is from Ft. Myers, FL (where I live) and you can believe their will be a good amount of people going to go to the game just to see him play again, coaches, friends, family.  He will get the ball enough to try to show his "home" crowd why he was selected to go to one of the best schools in the nation.  And believe me it will be impressive.  I saw him play three games while in high school and the kid IS the real deal.  He isn't the biggest kid but he is quick and can juke just about anyone off of their feet.  Anyone interested in checking out any of his football reels from North Fort Myers High School go to YouTube and type in his name, pick a clip, and be amazed.  Guaranteed that you have never seen a high school player run like he did (does).  This kid will only improve.  Can't wait to watch this game, wish I could go.

First Post. Just a lurker prior to today. So much trash talk in these forums , I thought I'd try to get it back on topic.

The real questions in this game will be how long it takes West Virginia's O to get on track and start moving the ball. They WILL put up at least 28 pts. in this game, and the first quarter will determine whether if they can put up 40 pts or not. The Bulls should put up 30-35 pts at home fairly easily, even with a few dings up front.

The Bulls have played well defensively, especially against the run, but this confusing WV O is not like any other offense theyve faced and will score. The WV defense should get exposed a bit tonite on the road against a smart quarterback.

The first quarter should tell the story and the line is tough. I like West Virginia by 10 here, possibly a 38-28 score, but with so many questions marks against them it's really tough to make that pick. I love the over here. This game hasn't hit totals in the last 2 meetings , but the big move from opening makes me jump on it.

Bulls+7, over 56, tease 6, 2 units

Bulls +13, over 50, BOL all!

,Last yr was LAST year, period. Todays team is all that matters. Speed is always a big factor in CFB. If one team starts missing there blocks because of speed of other team, lookout.
