The thing we all have to remember is that everyone one has an opinion and that not everyone will agree.  Some of the above posts are disconcerning to me because I regularly check these threads for some insight that I might not be seeing. 
 
These posts suggest that some people put a great deal of emotion into their picks, which everyone knows is a no-no in gaming.  Emotion should play no part in it.
 
A couple of years ago, there was some quality threads on this site.  It seems like some people have abused what was given to them, so I am starting to post again to help try to right the ship again.
 
Like Danstyk said, you will going to win some and lose some. 
 
Let's just try to maintain the integrity of these threads and talk some college football.

USF + 14.5 seems pretty solid to me.

bdhpd. I saw a ton of those in one of my EMail boxes last week. I DNK what it was, so I deleted them all. That one is not one I look at, so chances of catching me on that one are slim & left town. I don't mean this to read harsh, but not really my gig anyway, now that I know what it was.

My strategy is very similar to biggeiii's.  I rarely play a spread unless the stats are too overwhelming, so some might find my posts not useful.  I primarily stick to MLs and buying points.

Hi don jon, i find it very amusing that i put a sex joke in after your plea for integrity.
I personally would normally play a home dog(especially a very talented one getting 7) in preference over a tough road fave.  The SU loss basically has had this game circled for WV.  The loss of a few key linemen for da bulls IMO is a huge issue.  Grothe may have a tougher time keeping up with what should be scores on most WV posessions given the newfound  passing game of WV to mix with their multitalented RB's.  I look for an over here with WV pulling out the win but USF fighting tough the whole way yet unable to keep the scoring pace up. 
If SF can put the finger in the dykes(yes i said that) of the WV offense then USF   can play a ball control offense and win or at least cover. 
This will also be a small play for me and if I wasn't watching it would be a no play.

Doc, the Bulls are the toughest D that the 'Neers will face all year. WV has shown me nothing on D this year and I think that USF can score on them. Maybe the over could be the Friday night play, but I'd rather have USF +8

My book is showing a 61 total while everything i see anywhere else gives me 55. ?wow. ?I saw 55 and thought it was high...

you're right and are probably making the smart play here, certainly its the kind of matchup i would look to pound but the injuries changed my mind.  in spite of that...you are on the side with lots of people here and i wouldnt be surprised if alot of smart money gets pounded friday.  youll see that line hit 6.5 if that happens and if it happens first thing friday am the books either weather the storm expecting fave money coming in later OR if the betting is huge on USF theyll pull to 6 which i doubt.  for all those USF folks that havent bet yet the question is whether or not to pull the trigger now at 7 or 7.5-120.  Naked you got the deal at +8.  Good luck, maybe we'll middle.

WVU teased to -1 with the uner 61.  Four reasons why:
 
1.  Slaton, White, Devine.
 
2.  Revenge game.
 
3.  Too very good defenses.
 
4.  ESPN friday night, and we know how those spotlight games have ended up for both schools ATS.

ya this is a revenge game but dont you think south florida is going to come ready to play...there defense is better look for them to be hyped up at home take the points

USF at home getting points is a worthwhile bet. They are a ball hawking speedy defense . Offensively  their receivers appear to be strong they seem to win fights for the ball and also prevent INTs on  passes forced into coverage. Overall well coached. This is an up and coming team

revenge is not as big of a factor as you would believe .... teams are starting to take SF seriously and WV will be more worried about the game at hand than what happened last year ...

i think WV is very good team but this game is a coinflip in my mind , and im getting a TD for a home team on a coin flip ?

may not be the right side but count me in ....

 It seems like not to many years ago no one would seriously even consider these small Florida schools but with the new programs conditioning playing the biggest part these kids are for real down here now and can not be taken lightly. This team can upset and may upset the WV applecart take the points Its gonna be HOT too.

As for this game, it scares the hell out of me!!!!! Home dogs in primetime, ew. So, I think I'm gonna pass on this one, better off just kicking back with a few beers and enjoying some good football.

I can make a case for both teams here.  I have won multiple times this year with both teams.  I lost last year betting WVU against this team.  I think WVU should cover this game.  I think the revenge factor is overrated, but they should be able to outscore  the bulls.  The one thing I have noticed with SF is the propensity to turn the ball over, and I think WVU should take advantage of this.  When in doubt i will take the team I think will win on a neutral field, because I don't see Ramond J as being that big of a advantage.

Hello to all! Wats up Big daddy and Fam! I've been riding west virginia for a couple of weeks now and it seems they are doing me right (ats)...so far haha. This game is going to be a big test for them so you can say it scares me allright. Bigdaddy is right about South Florida loving to score the first half at home, and West Virginia loves to start off sloooooow but tends to catch up and cover the 2nd half. So after all the research and reading and smoking them ciggs, im a take WEST VIRGINIA to cover. Good Luck to all, lets make some money..

Think about this guys when was the last time you could bet WV-7 on a game they should win... I don't know the exact  #'s on this one but isn't WV very good on thur and Fri night games... If they get pressure on grothe who else do they have to lean on? I would have to answer that by saying SF defense (which is good) but other than that they have not many options... SF defense will keep this game close early but i think the smart play is WV-7.... if i was betting against WV here i think i would need at least 17pts to feel comfortable...  final score WV24-SF10 (like the under)
