I use www.mysportsbook.com and they have this at WVU -7 (115) with a total of 56.
I have looked at this ALL week and was sure of placing a large wager on SF. They have speed on defense, a sellout crowd for the 1str time ever, all the hype and electricity going on in and around the campus, etc. Sure, they did beat WVU last year and that was {you’ve heard it a 1,000 times already} with Slaton and White less than 100 percent healthy. Everything that I saw and heard made me think that SF was one hell of a good pick.
But then I started thinking MORE about what I have NOT heard. I have heard very little hype on WVU. I have read almost nothing on how their fans and supporters are “electrified” like SF. Immediately the 1992 Alabama-Miami National Championship game came to mind. Miami talked trash all week. Everyone talked about how great Miami was, Gino Torretta was a Heisman winner, etc. Alabama was pretty much quiet and ended up defensively beating the shit out of Miami 34-13.
I have changed my pick to WVU -7. This may not be the best analysis or handicapping {probably pretty lame} but I feel like a “light just came on” picking WVU. I am normally wrong when I don’t stay wityh my 1st instincts but I don’t think this is one of those times.
5 units on WVU -7
Undecided on the total but leaning to under 56.
Good Luck guys!

Miami did the exact same thing in 1986 vs. Penn State. Remember they wore the fatigues to the press conference? Then got ambushed at game time.
However I am not sure that is a good analogy here. The USF players are not doing the trash-talking. Neither is their coach. They are just getting some attention, where they have had little to none in the past.
But I do agree that it has taken away the spotlight from WVU this week, and could give them some motivation to take it back. While I got WVU -7.5 -105 earlier in the week, and am ok with it, the more I think about it the more I could see WVU finally making a statement game against a tough opponent. But they will need to earn it... it won't be a walkthrough practice.
GL all...

I've been researching o/u totals for the last 6 years and i have came up with a trend thats only failed me once over that period of time. If a total is moved 5 or more points in either direction, such as this game's opening total of 61 now standing at 55 at my book, GO AGAINST the public.
Bamamanintn. I love the info you provided here and I am going to keep an eye out for trends like this in games I play, one question I had here though is I haven't seen the opening total at 61 anywhere. Can you tell me where you saw that as I am really looking to play the under using your logic here.
Thanks
Also, guys I am new to the site but I have been following some of the vets picks like Irish and Big Daddy, is there a place on the site where you guys list who you like for the week or is it easier to look through the threads to get your opinions? Thanks guys, looking forward to making some money with you!

Added the noel deveeineine(sp) rushing Prop. Think nd might wanna show off any upon his return to the Sunshine State that he calls home? Added p.white to TD, before he gets INT'ed. p.white is sizzling hot right now, 71% with 6 majors & no minors. Took the UP on slaton as well.

Lefty, good to see your keyboard is working again. We missed the insight.
I just don't see how So Fla can do it again, even in their own home. I think that WVU lets the bulls hang around for a half and then blows them out in the second half. Rich Rodriguez will try to make a statement with the nation watching the only game tonight.
WVU easy cover. Small play on the over.
Bigdaddy, I have been trying to keep up with your plays, but it is much harder for me to be on since I got a new job. Hence the irratic posting. Any ideas how I can get your info?
Just started posting all my plays on one thread last week. Will post all of them later today. Still busy with work

BTW: I finally picked wvu SU in my Friday Night viewing guide. I'm getting good (or bad if you like So.FLA) vibes that wvu is real jacked-up to retaliate for 2006 2nite. I won't be sad if I'm incorrect, but So.FLA does not quite have the offense to beat a 100% locked & loaded wvu.

You gotta think West Virgina covers this game.....not only because the revenge factor, but because they have something to prove to the country. You don't really hear their name as much mentioned with the elite teams this year. You'll here about those Gators, LSU, USC, Oklahoma.....but West Virginia is slowly starting to get less and less attention in that debate for the top, elite teams. One thing i do wonder is how home field advantage will come into play, if at all. I know they play at Raymond James Stadium, which is obviously an NFL stadium, but it's not like their playing at the Swamp or at West Virginia, which packs to capacity and is very very loud.
Goodluck to all
WV is ranked #5. You don't hear about them because they don't play anybody.
USF beat a way below average Auburn team but they are solid on defense and balanced on offense. Revenge is NOT a factor since WV will score as many points as they can every week, we'll see if they should be #5 in the country or not.
I don't think they have the defense to be considered a top 5 team. They definitely have the offense and can easily cover this spread if they get it going. The best play will be the over IMO.
Over 56*

*Some picks are wrong and some are right. Don't bet more than you can afford to lose.......only to cry about it later. Gambling is not for the weak of heart. Shit talking will get you thrown off this thread and could possibly lead to a severe ass whipping. If you experience an erection lasting longer than 4 hours call your physician.

Everything is telling me not to play this game, but that probably won't happen. I'm looking at a rare play here...SF in the first half...WV at half time. I think the home team will step it up in the first half and SF's D will keep WV's O off balance a little bit. WV has had the tendency to start a little slow then finish strong. It wouldn't suprise me to see SF up by a TD at the half, Then WV come out and dominate the second half after making the necessary adjustments. The botttom line is WV will be a good halftime bet all year, because their boys in the trenches flat out wear teams down. When WV starts ripping off 12, 17, 20yd gains it gets demoralizing.

I have been reading this since last season...Today is my first time, hopefully I can make a right pick for tonight....I like bigdaddy picks on weedays last year, unfortunately this year it's doesn't seem right on his picks.....Good luck to you bigdaddy and everyone to make some $$ by the end of this season.
For tonight, I like the over alot...both teams can score 4 tds (it's not a big deal for WV and SF). WV lost to SF last year so this time they make sure to take a lead early and keep going, I think they can handle it (it's seem like their offence little better than last year)....So I think by haft point for WV and over is look good to me.....WV(-6.4) OV (55.5)..............
GOOD LUCK TO ALL.....BRING HOME SOME $$$
