hey bigdaddy,

i've been following your posts for a few years now, and i've been making alot of money since than, your research and picks are great... dont listen to that clown always up, keep doin your thing...

anyway since i made an account to comment on that clown "always up" burnt out comments, i might as well post some of my plays and give some of my advise and see how we all do.

Let's check out what we have to deal with here...

South Florida

1-6 as dogs at this point range off of back to back SU wins

1-5 as dogs after scoring 35 or more points in a game.

WVU

18-1 vs conference opponent with revenge involved

8-1 as road favorites

11-2 on weekday games

5-1 vs .750 and above opponents.

I looked at playing WVU at the half but then noticed that they start off slow on the road.

South Florida on the other hand tends to start off strong at home.

That scratched out my WVU at the half theory.

WVU at Maryland - WVU scored 42 of its points in the 2nd half of the game.

South Florida seems to score majority of its points in the first qtr of games at home.

If I were to take WVU I would look at taking them at the final. May look at the total instead on this one.

I still need to deal with the Boise St game on Thursday so I still have some time.

Hey lefty, good to see you make an appearance, if for the wrong reasons.  Good luck this season and don't be a stranger.  I'm leaning on USF here, hoping to grab it at 7.5 tho.  Otherwise I'm sure we're both on the Pats, prolly another 38-14 game.

I like SF in this game.  They pulled off the upset last year with a less confident team on the road. 
 
I am not saying they will win the game, but I do think they will cover.
 
To be safe, I will probably tease SF 6 points.

alright bigdaddy...you sucked me back in.  gotta admit..it was touhg sitting back and not throwing my 2 cents in...although some would say that's all it's worth!!!!  
 
as for the game...i was down at maryland and could not believe just how damn fast wvu looked...i mean it wasn't even funny.  i know sf is an up and comer...but this one won't be close at the end...wvu easy.

wow, everybody whos been reading for a few years and finally decides to make a post really loves you bigdaddy, so my question is... how many covers accounts do you have???  must be tough coming up with new email addresses to make these posts haha

I'll have my pick(s) on Friday for this one, when this game goes out in my Friday column. But I can tell you this now. I was all set to pick So.FLA in the upset, which still might could happen. But da Bulls have 2 starting OLinemen out for the year, another OLine starter is dinged up & may or may not play. 1 DLine starter is out for the year. Then there is the passing improvement of p.white. 71%, w/ a perfect 6:0 ratio does not suck.

da Bulls two real chances are, make some BIG defensive plays, and they will need some wvu Turnover help. That's possible at home, indeed. But those upFront hurts have really backed me up.

Basically there are a lot of lurkers here, people who come in and read, but do not post.  It's clear many of them have benefited from reading his posts, and they're defending him.   Plus he's just a good guy too.

As BigDaddy says, Bigeiii is another great capper to pay attention to.  In fact I wish I had seen his post before I put a unit on USF.     But I saw it go to +7.5 and went with it while it was there, and I'm ok with the pick.  My feeling is the matchup edge counterbalances any revenge factor.  Last year USF held Slaton and White to 60 yds rushing.  My advice is to wait until Friday for those of you still on the fence.

Don't worry bro. That's why I'm having a hard time finalizing my pick.There is something about USF this season that impresses me but still got a better feeling on the WVU on the final.

Maybe WVU underestimated USF the last time?

But USF could still be pumped up from that last beating they gave them in WV.

 I'll just see what happens in Boise St. before I can decide what to do with this one.

I read these boards pretty religiously. BigDaddy and bigeiii, I appeciate all of you guys posts. They have helped immensely over the last couple seasons.
 
Big Mountaineers fan here and just had to put my two cents in on this game. The Mountaineer defense is improving from week to week and this will be a real test for them. That being said, there is no way South Florida can hang with the overall team speed and impressive offense of WVU. Slaton and White have revenge on their minds. Lay the points and count your money.

I am another one of those handicappers that has checked these threads regularly over the past 3 or 4 years. 
 
The thing we all have to remember is that everyone one has an opinion and that not everyone will agree.  Some of the above posts are disconcerning to me because I regularly check these threads for some insight that I might not be seeing. 
 
These posts suggest that some people put a great deal of emotion into their picks, which everyone knows is a no-no in gaming.  Emotion should play no part in it.
 
A couple of years ago, there was some quality threads on this site.  It seems like some people have abused what was given to them, so I am starting to post again to help try to right the ship again.
 
Like Danstyk said, you will going to win some and lose some. 
 
Let's just try to maintain the integrity of these threads and talk some college football.
