Hey Scal, what are your thoughts on the Over for the ODU-EMU game? The total is 64. I could see this game being a slow start but also could easily see a 28-point 4th quarter. It's my degenerate play of the day til the Navy game so I might make a small wager on the over but I'm not convinced just yet.

Would greatly appreciate your thoughts if you get a minute.
Best of luck on your picks and Merry Christmas

Seriously. You guys are both right. It's a fight. Nohody can really say what'a good value until the final bell. I personally took Rowdy because that was the best value for me. Close to even money for someone who was arguably the most dominant champ in women's history (we can't forget about cyborg) and really just got her @ss kicked one time. It happens. On the other hand, if you truely believe Rousey is a broken woman and her heart isn't into it, that she's off a long lay off and facing the champ, then any plus money is a good value. Obviously not as good as when it opened +200is, that was truely good value, but still good. Let's let the women fight it out.

This is the exact reason why 9 times out of 10 I wait until weigh ins to place my mma bets. She could be playing mind games, we will see come weigh in and face off time.

And Papa is a perfect example of this giving essential but non-traditional viewpoints on capping a quick handwave.

Let me assure you, if Nunes is a dog right down to +105 in this fight that is a bettable side. Whether it be +1050 or +105, if you are on the Nunes side, you have "value" Papa is hung up on.

This is very hard for Papa to understand because his brain doesn't operate the way mine does when it comes to capping. We cap in different worlds. He veiws a ML drop from +1050 to +105 as "lost" money where I view any +ML as a winnable and moreover bettable side.

That is because +1050 is imaginary. It has nothing to do with the real world and is set by the books. Public cash flows then shift it just like every line ever set. He's like a meth addict who needs to get in on the bet at the earliest possible time for the most (imaginary) value and I look at the line, go and cap the game/fight very deliberately and calmly for however long it takes and see if the line has crossed my acceptable threshold. And my threshold was +ML on Nunes and I got that and a 35% ROI on top of my original bet.

He cannot see this and sacrifices capping for lines. Massive mistake. This is exactly what the books want you to do. Like sharks in a feeding frenzy, they want you to lose your bearings and rage through blood soaked water for the carcass of seal blubber. I calmly look at the line cap the game and if I come back to an unacceptable line I walk away.

Meanwhile he'll come off a Rousey Nunes fight because of lost "value" down from +1050 to +105 and then he'll go bet the first half of the Clippers Spurs after 5 minutes of capping thinking he got more value there! Amazing! I've seen so many gamblers do this.

Look at the line, Cap the game/fight accordingly and then reassess calmly as the public goes bonkers over all these line shifts. I did this with the Army game and was never under the "lost value" number of 5.5. Very hard for Papa to understand. It's clear he can't and won't at this point and that's ok. We'll calmly collect our winnings (and all that lost value...lol) and move on to the next winner.

Just embarrassing how wrong that is.

I never "sacrifice capping for lines."

It's funny, we've been cool for a long time now, but I see how much of an assholee you truly are.  You're just a prickk and everyone sees it in this thread.

You are the one that is being narrow minded in this selection.  Enjoy posting bets in wrong threads to get your view counts up.  It's really cool.  I'm done with this thread for real now.  Good luck on your future wagers.

Lol. Papa, please. You're an anonymous male who is an avatar and a name on a gambling website. I can be cool with living, breathing people otherwise. No skin off my back.

Yes I'm a real as*hole who gives out free picks and advice taking my own time and energy to do so. Gosh what a terrible guy.So incredible the way people spin things. Been offered to go tout numerous times and rejected it all. What a pric*. But that tout who left? Great guy!

Anyhow, I can't accentuate this enough, chase lines and perceived value like Papa is endorsing and thus maligning my advice and you are missing the boat. It is a LOSING endeavour (and the conversation is much more sophisticated than this but I won't even get into it with him because he is too far removed from even beginning to understand it).

    Writie-up:

    Amanda Nunes +120C
    Ronda Rousey -140A+

Recommended play: take the fave or do no bet at all.

    Thats all.

    Scal, I have a serious question ...

Does this wager count on your record?

I have noticed that you are selective in which wagers that you count.

Purdue season win total lost ... but you didn't count it.
Hillary Clinton lost as -300 chalk, and you put her in "literally every parlay" but you didn't count it.

What decides if the bet counts towards your record?
Is the decision made before or after the event has been graded?

    Thanks for clarifying this.

Scal went all-in backing Clinton. He's broke.

He posts from a computer in a public library. Each week Scal becomes ever more insane from living on the streets. Sad!

Your trolling is predictable, uninspired and boring. Since you're here all day on christmas eve, you'd think you could come up with something better... I pity your family.

I already said in this thread whether this wager would count. Read through all the pages. Purdue does count. It will be added when the bowl season ends.

And as far as Hillary, I never made an official pick anywhere where I said take Hillary -300. I said repeatedly I HAD HER for -300 and -200 and -165 etc. like a stock.

And I've told you this Hugh but you are too dense to understand it:

How the hell would I count a -300 winner or losing in a straight up WL record??????

I didn't count the Joey Chestnut but for the same reason. He went off at -155.

And I didn't count countless pro wrestling winners for the same reason.

You keep trying to make the Clinton bet sully my record but if I counted all my exotics in my record over the past year or several years it would improve it (immensely). So you have to stop making yourself look like a fool continuing to say this (because I've repeated this to you several dozen times...because you've said it several dozen times).

This +125 winner or loser WILL COUNT as ONE win or loss. If she was going off at -155 like Rousey I would say I wouldn't count it BECAUSE NO ONE needs a cap on a -155 play and they certainly don't need posters here adding a full win to their record for winning such a play.

There are so many folks here who question your record.
I'm just trying to nip their trolling in the bud.
    Thanks for clearing that up.

You're a good man, scal, and I did not believe for a minute that you lost "literally every parlay" with the Hillary bet, or that it was "more parlays than I can count". I'm sure you were just exaggerating the amount of money you had on Hillary. I'm quite certain it was not a big deal at all ... laying -300 so many losing bets would have been a set back, so I'm glad you were merely dealing in hyperbole when you touted Hillary for 6 solid months, guaranteeing her victory, starting countless threads about it.

Why do you care to keep pointing that out? How do my parlays affect anyone's bets here? I never posted those parlays and told people to tail them.

No one needs me to tell them to take a massive favorite in Hillary and it took the greatest upset in over a century to take her out. Upsets happen. Sometimes you are on the wrong side of them.

And my record will continue to be questioned. Because the people questioning do not use a search tool and also my record stretches back over a year.

I post, I add a win or a loss and give a write-up. I'm meaningful to this forum, win or lose. Because at a bare minimum I start a conversation. And if you tailed me, you are at 64%.

For those questioning my record, not a single one has been able to prove otherwise outside of a typo here or there which is quickly corrected on the spot (Ganda and the kid who plays in high stakes cash games did this and I thanked them).

If covers had every game on it's streak for survivor tracker, I'd gladly put every play in there but they don't. So I'm left to posting a record with a number that's typed on a screen and nothing more.

Of course it will be suspect to posters. It's fuc*** good.

The proof is in the pudding. If people have lost a ton of money following me they'll say so. The fact is, it's the opposite. People have tailed me for years and have openly stated many times they've made money off me.

Again, I say this openly and gladly, if you think my record is false, go back through every post you can find and you will see +1 win or +1 loss in every post. If you see something different tell me. I don't need to spend time verifying my record WHEN I'M THE ONE POSTING detailed write-ups and tracking it accordingly and accurately. YOU are making the accusation so you spend the time going after something that doesn't exist.

And you'll see it in my 2017 record. I'll add a win or a loss just like I always do from 0-0 and you can jump in whenever you think that record has been falsified.

And it won't be. I have nothing to lie about. I am not a tout. I have no reason to want people believe I have a better record than I do because it does nothing for me. I don't make money off these write-ups and I only post here, to start a conversation (learn some things from alternative viewpoints) and have people follow if they'd like.

And I want them to win, because the more they win, the closer I get to Steve Wynn spit-shining my dress shoes.

And as far as Hillary goes, I was playing with a lot of house money off her since I had a clean sweep on her DNC speech prop phrases.

Totally swept them. Several at +ML money. And I posted none of that to my record.

Because the point wasn't to improve my record. It was to get people the same information I had and get them on the winning side. And I know you saw those threads because you're all over the GD forum so don't act like you have no idea what I'm talking about. And if you want to dispute what I'm saying the search tool is right there.

And by the way, not that there are dunces here who need to be told this but the:

Merry Christmas Scal bullshi* is about as authentic as  Robert Dinero buying a round of drinks for the "Go get your shinebox" mobster. We saw what happened to him when the bar closed.

But I'm ready for that shi*.

It's to keep the Mods at bay so he can feign a "Who me? I just wanted to wish him Merry Christmas!!" so they won't throw him in the hole again for a month.

But I'm ready for that shi*.

It's to keep the Mods at bay so he can feign a "Who me? I just wanted to wish him Merry Christmas!!" so they won't throw him in the hole again for a month.

Well here is Nunes saying she is 100% and that her sinus infection has gone away.

Of course it is her saying it but she looks good. Weigh ins will confirm everything but I liked what I say from this vantage point:

Nunes by submission. She doesn't talk about it but I have a feeling she will hurt Ronda and then go for the RNC.

Challenger Ronda Rousey -140 chalk v champ Amanda Nunes (+120) Friday. 59% of bettors on Nunes. #UFC207

Per Dave Mason of betonline...Keep thinking Nunes isn't getting the public money...

This has to be one of the great misguided posts in Covers history.

Ronda Rousey who is being looped on every program ESPN and FS1 runs, one who has countless stories profiling her and her comeback online, one which you posted as evidence of Rousey's preparation, who is literally the Patriots of the women's division and the most popular female (or male) fighter of all time (making Holly Holm a mind-boggling 7-1 dog) is now, after a single loss, receiving more public money than an 11-4 Brazilian female who most people wouldn't recognize from the check out girl in their local Target.

So says Dave Manson of Betonline, who has as much credibility as Marylin Manson. And Papa Shango...and I won't even address his credibility on this issue.

Scal - You are pathetic. If it's not YOUR opinion you act like a child. You spin any and everything anyone else says that does not agree with YOUR view.
