Wahoo, not necessarily questioning your temple play (as I don't have a play on that game currently), but are you a little concerned about how Temple has played at home vs marginal teams.  They played very bad vs Ball St and Army and were lucky to win both games (don't let that Army score fool you as Army outplayed them in that game).  Big favorites certainly don't do too well in the MAC either.  Aside from the game vs Ohio, Miami (ohio) has played pretty well lately.  Temple should be able to run it down MIami's throat, but miami might be able to pass the ball a little bit on temple as Dysert has only improved.

    Thoughts/Concerns??

These plays on Thursday seem so obvious to me, Im shocked that there is so much dispute about them.

VATECH -12.5  On one side we have East Carolina with a semi-chump schedule, ranking 103rd in Pass D, and 80th it toatal Offense.  Furthermore VA tech is going to be looking for revenge.  I think E.C. has got lucky with a few games this year.

Temple - 17  MIAOH, what can I say.  They rank 100 or worse in almost every meaningfull offensive statistic.  They can pass well tho, nevermind.  They are trailing by 21 so often they must pass.  I might take Temple at -24.  This should be a gift. Temple ranks  in the top 35 in EVERY meaningfull D stat.  While the O is nothing special, it is clearly a mismatch.  Need convincing?  Look how much the line has jumped from the open.  People saw this and threw morgages at it.

Eastern Michigan +21  This is the riskiest of the bunch.  20.5 I go with Northern Illinois, +21 I dont play, 21.5 I take Eastern Michigan.  While E. Michigan is a lauging stock, Northern does not beat teams by wide margins.  Im liking Northern the more I look concidering E. Mich ranks about as well as dirt being  100th or worse in both points allowed and points scored.  If Northern runs wild like I think they will, this will just be another routing.

I dont like taking 3 of 3 favorites, but lets be real, all three dogs on Thursday are some of the brownest skid marks in the league.  My logic is, take all 3.  2 of them will cover.

Id love to hear agreeable and contrasting opinions.

He must have been one of the Joe Public's getting HANDED W's this season with zero thought

Wahoos, sorry for the rant, im glad you are back to your traditional form and are turning the cornerreally like quite a few of your picks and DEF want to back USC this weekend but they have cost me a bit this year and simply leave a bad taste in my mouth BOL this weekend sir

I love how my wins this year are "handed" to me by doing hours of stat checking and injury updates for days prior to my bets.  You can hate my picks all you want and Im open to good rationale in flawed logic.  I find small lines have the most value.  Its hard to know if I team is going to route or get routed by 29.5 or 35, with small lines you can find a couple that have a line that while you understand the logic, just doesn't make sense.  Houston for example this week, Ive been raving about.  But by your logic I should have all sorts of alarms with the moving spread against my favor, road game, and small margin.  Whatever. TXAM will shred Colorado, Houston will score 42 and KU while not what they were, are still superior to KanSt.  I should clarify my posts with "constructive" opposition to my picks is welcome.   And not to rub it in, but yes, Ive made money hand over fist this year in NFL and NCAAF.  While I'm not an expert, I'm not a moron.  I wish you all luck.

I also learned to value certain things (the presence or absence of playmakers, solid quarterbacking, particularly away from home, coaching, overall team speed) that I hadn't focussed on too much in the past.  This year, nothing seems to matter.  When I have the wrong side, I've gotten punished.  If I've had a lucky win this year, I can't remember it.  When I've had the right side, I've too often been the victim of the blocked kick (always returned for the TD, by the way), the pick-6, the goal-line turnover(s), bad calls, locust, hail, whatever.  All you can do is to keep plugging away.  What I am NOT going to do this week is to run away from the obvious public play.  Houston is WAY better than Tulsa.  I don't care if the line is doing jumping-jacks, I'm betting it.  Ditto Oregon, and Oklahoma.  If I'm going down, I'm going down with 75% of the public.

Im pretty new to this...I get nevous when I see lines like Houston getting points when i think they will win by 2TD's...What should I do to win over the LONG HAUL?

WAS that Temple game FIXED ?? Something doesn't sit right with how that game played out .  I know mid major weeknight games may have the HIGHEST risk of that happening, just curious on thoughts...

It looks to me like another strong card shaping up for you this week. I am puzzled by the Houston line movement they open -3 then go to +2.5 and are now -1. What do you make of it?

Also like Wisky -10 and So Car +7 any thoughts?

Oh and please by all means start posting your  plays; I for one am convinced of your capping talent.

    Wahoos,

I just have one play this week and I really would like to know if you have any thoughts on it. Last week I won the Oregon play and I feel that playing one game per week it's better.

Kansas State + 2.5 or ML - better season and better team this is my thought.

Also I'm thinking to play Colorado, Duke and Ohio State and maybe USC, I really feel that they are overrated and they don't deserv to be in the top 10.

Good Luck this week! and your the best capper here
