A couple of questions,

1.  Where do you get your SOS numbers from and how do you find average SOS?

2.  How do you determine who has the advantage on special teams?

3.  You stated you get a pointspread using yards per play, could you go over how you get this?

A can't miss thread from here on out.

1.  From my statistics that I can keep, I can get an average SOS for each team.

2.  As of now I use Phil Steele's site for special teams, but I believe those numbers are flawed, so in the offseason I am going to try and come up with my own methods.

3.  Basically, on average teams will win by 7.5 ppg if they outgain a team by 1.0 yards per play.  I also have to adjust for plays/game, turnovers, special teams, it is not necessarily an exact science, but I am constantly tweaking things.

I got very lucky in that Southern Miss game tonight by the way, don't congratulate me.

I also have no idea why Froman did not play.  If I knew Burke was playing the entire game, I would not have had a wager on this game.

Moo, do you have a play for tomorrow's Boise game?

I'm leaning Boise based off of how terrible Utah looked at the end of the year.  IMHO they were exposed big time at Notre Dame.

I will post my boise/utah thoughts within the hour.  I'm going to break it down now and I have no bet on it just yet, I likely won't.  My initial thoughts were the line was right, but the situation probably favors Utah.  Boise is my #1 team in the land even with the loss to Nevada.  I was very upset to see them lose to Nevada and to see Bama blow that 24-0 lead.  I had a feeling I would have big money on Boise vs Oregon in the title.

I dont know why either - and the announcers never said a word about it (to my recollection).

Burke missed a lot of passes just by bad open throws.

That was a very strange game.  Glad I passed.
