Sandusky wasn't working for Paterno when Joe Pa found out about this. Sandusky retired in 1999. Paterno found out about this in 2002.

If you don't believe Joe Pa is at fault then your dense. He was told Sandusky molested a kid in a shower...whether he worked for him or not it shouldn't matter. Joe Pa knew he had access to children through his charity is enough to go to the authorities immediately. Reporting it to the AD is a joke.

The little boys could have easily resisted and say NO!!!!
They do have brains you know and they could think for themselves such as thinking, Why are your hands rubbing on my thighs? or Why is your penis touching my butthole????

Remember Sandusky retired in 1999 and it was "surprising" to most as he was suppose to be the heir apparent to JoePa and turned down other jobs for the Penn St. job. He is significantly younger than JoePa and could have waited longer or took another job yet he "retired" and was given full access to Penn St. facilities with his second mile program and was given full retirement benefits by Penn St. and the distinguished label as coach emeritus. Dear god I hope the AD, Finance Director and Paterno did not tell Sandusky to retire with full benefits as an attempt to sweep this under the rug and hope it never came to light. I sincerely hope this was not the case as they were looking out for their football program and the school instead of young children. I really hope this is not the case, that would be even more sickening

Witnessing this cowardice and hypocrisy, it appears, made Mike McQueary want to be a Joe Paterno assistant coach for the next decade. I don’t understand McQueary, a former Penn State quarterback, at all. He allegedly saw a naked old man raping a naked young boy, and McQueary ran out of the locker room. He took no action to protect the boy? McQueary is at least 30 years younger than Sandusky. Coaching is supposed to be about helping young people develop

The guy he worked with for 30 years had been accused multiple times of sexually abusing boys including when a grad assistant coach told Paterno himself that he saw the piece of shit diddling a little boy in the Penn State showers.
All Paterno did was tell the AD and then when it got covered up Paterno went about his business acting like nothing happened.
Paterno should have at least went to the cops, but I guess protecting his football program is more important than little boys being sexually abused in his locker room.
How anyone, even Penn State homers, could think that was “the right thing to do” is fucking sick.

StraightShooter- i feel the same way- it's not like this is the first time anything suspicious has come out about this guy. Multiple accusations apparently- Penn St. should have gotten rid of all ties to this guy back in 1999 instead of letting him "retire" with full benefits and access to the facilities. Smells like they swept this under the rug and now it has come back to bite them in the ass.
