JoePa needs to step down immediately

This is the  official position of what  the University officials told University president after they 'investigated' a reported  crime on University property.  In my  opinion,  Penn St is digraced and these  two officials should spend time  in  jail. This  looks like negligence on the  highest  order and subsequent victims of  Sandusky should  have been  protected from a  monster. 

Curley and Schultz did tell Penn State president Graham Spanier what they had heard, but Spanier told the grand jury that Curley and Schultz had described Sandusky's actions to him as mere "horsing around in the shower."

Guilty by association. Guess we are all going to hell.

"Jerry's very, very depressed. He's very upset. He's very distraught about the charges, the allegations," said Joe Amendola, Sandusky's attorney.

I agree that the  grad  assist didnt follow the  law and he should  have  reported.  Joe pa got  woken up one  sunday afternoon from  his  nap with a tale of horrible  activity on university property and I think Joe  Pa acted appropriately. 

the  grad assistant should  have  been  haunted by  what  he  saw and not  stopped until sandusky was arrested. pure  and  simple.,

it  would  not  surprise me to  hear from  the  grad assist that the  university (Shultz anbd  Curley) pressured (or  encouraged ) him to not  make  such a  big deal. 

Its best to wait until more facts come to light ... I always laugh at people who are quick to judge on limited information.

The whole news world is focused on this situation now... we should have a clearer picture by the end of the week... every news person will be all over this case.

These types of cases are complicated based on what people knew--when they knew it and what was done. When we get a better idea of timeline -witnesses and what was done we can then debate this more appropriately

"Another child, known only as a boy about 11 to 13, was seen by a janitor pinned against a wall while Sandusky performed oral sex on him in fall 2000, the grand jury said. And in 2002, Kelly said, a graduate assistant saw Sandusky sexually assault a naked boy, estimated to be about 10 years old, in a team locker room shower. The grad student and his father reported what he saw to Paterno, who immediately told Curley, prosecutors said."

Can someone explain to me how two supposedly grown men, the janitor and the grad student, do not come to the aid of these two innocent young boys? I would have personally beat the living hell out of Sandusky and then taken the boys to the proper authorities. These acts happened in 2000 and 2002. It wasn't until a mother reported the abuse of her child in 2009 that this pervert’s actions came to light. This totally sickens me, and I have never understood how grown men (especially those with children) in positions of authority -- whether it be the Catholic Church, the Boy Scouts or Penn State University -- could allow this to happen.

All of this happened after the powers that be, Athletic Director Tim Curley and Senior V.P. and treasurer Gary Schultz, were aware of an investigation in 1998 involving sexually inappropriate behavior by Sandusky with a young boy in the football team's showers. Conveniently, Sandusky retired in 1999, but Penn State University and its athletic department continued to allow Sandusky to use its facilities and bring young boys to the locker room where he continued to molest them.

If these allegations are proven to be true -- which I believe they will be -- Curly, Schultz, and even President of the University Graham Spanier should be fired.  Jo Pa should just retire at the end of the year before this becomes even more damaging to his legacy.  Here are President Spanier’s remarks about the situation:

University representatives released a statement from Spanier on Saturday calling the allegations against Sandusky "troubling" and adding that Curley and Schultz had his unconditional support.

He predicted they will be exonerated.

"I have known and worked daily with Tim and Gary for more than 16 years," Spanier said. "I have complete confidence in how they handled the allegations about a former university employee."

How come nobody is blaming the little boys that Sandusky had sex with?

The little boys could have easily resisted and say NO!!!!

They do have brains you know and they could think for themselves such as thinking, Why are your hands rubbing on my thighs? or Why is your penis touching my butthole????

The fact that these ltttle boys let Sandusky do it with them suggest that they enjoyed it.  They are as gulity as Sandusky.

Wow, I hope your are being facetious. If not, you are just as sick as Sandusky and are probably either gay or a child molester yourself. Do you have any children? Do you remember what it was like to be 10 or 11 years old and rebel against a person of authority-- especially, disadvantaged young boys looking for guidance, which is what Sandusky's Second Mile Organization was supposed to provide.

I think child molester's are the lowest scum of the earth and deserve no place in society.  They should all be castrated and the most extreme offenders should be executed.
