Agree with a lot of what you said. One thing could be is that they didn't have enough evidence back in 1998 to do anything about it. However that scumbag should have been blacklisted from anything to do with Penn St. or working with children. And what about McCreary? He needs to be prosecuted as well. How could he not do anything?

No matter what Joe was told or saw or testified, he should have wiped his hands clean of this child predator and made sure that scumbag ended up in jail. He did not do anything. On top of that this child molester has special privaledges as an honorary coach and brings kids to the campus. Joe Pa is as guilty as everyone else here. Deal with it.

Paterno knew what this sick fuck was doing and he did nothing. He knew there was a cover up and he did nothing.
Protecting the good name of his program is obviously more important than stopping his friend from sexually abusing young boys.

i cant even sleep i am so sick about this.....our program is so fucked now its not even funny, i dont think it really matters much here what transpires, the media is all over this and in the court of the public all are guilty already. hoping joepa can show us something here to give us fans hope.
i have so much penn state gear and just got my new penn state nike hat for the season and i am emberassed to wear it out, for fear that people will think i support child molesting honestly. WTF
A real man would stand up and take this shit on. But as bad as a coach is McQueary is, i have been calling for his firing for years, it sure as hell makes me wonder how he got the job he did. I have always said why is this guy the coach and why did sandusky just retire. I probably have two answers now and i cannot believe this.
All of my sulking feels better though that I have been fortunate enough to never have had to suffer what all these kids did.
The more i think about it the worse it gets. I dont cry for anything really, but as much as I love Penn State for the past 30 years, i literally looked at my closet full of penn state stuff and actually felt like crying for possibly being deceived all my life. Its almost like finding out Santa isnt real, Spiderman cant climb buildings, and wonder woman is fictional, it just sucks but this is 100 times worse.
i would not be surprised and would be glad if sandusky just took his own life at some point before trial. and he answers his door wearing penn state gear, i wanted to knock him out right there. that piece of shit has the nerve after what he has put our university through to answer the door decked out in that....fuck him

Only the most cold, prejudiced, hard-headed, ardent, homers and alumni of PSU will be blinded and not see past what Paterno and the administration did to hide a depraved predator behind their "hallowed" walls.
The fact that they did not fire him and turn him into law enforcement the second that the allegations were confirmed emboldened the guy to continue his atrocious, perverted acts all over that campus.
The magnitude and severity of this man's depravity and the fact that he was allowed to operate with impunity with people's knowledge disgusts me more than words can say.

i agree with everything but this as he "resigned" in 1999 after first allegations were made. he was fucking fired. police investigated it too and found nothing, but he was still fired. he was told to not take kids from his camp to the university anymore. why he was there after that is beyond me, hell they may not have been a kid from his camp, hell if i know. he should have been banned from campus period and he wasnt which is negligence on a whole lot of peoples part. especially after 2002 they should have said at the very least step foot on campus jerry and were calling the police. how the guy was allowed to keep showing up is unreal and disgusting.
