mega it's really hard to say because obviously both KU and WKU both have new coaches. yes petrino is a great coach but we don't know he'll fare with a brand new team that is nowhere as near as the arkie and l'ville teams he had. i think mark stoops will do well at kentucky but it will take at least 3 years to get to a bowl because they really need to recruit better.
personally it's Kentucky -4.5 or no play due to having more experience back especially at QB where KU has their guy back but WKU is breaking in a new guy to replace Jakes.

Total is set at 8.5 for LSU.
Only gimmees i see are: UAB, Kent State, Auburn, Ms St, Ole Miss, and Furman. That is 6 wins.
Tigers would then neet to win 3 of the following:
TCU
at UGA
UF
At Bama
Texas ATM
Arkansas
Could potentially beat TCU, Florida, ATM, and Arkansas. See them losing for sure to Alabama and Georgia on the road. My belief is either a 9 or 10 win season. However, Arkansas always plays LSU tough, Florida could beat them even in the valley, and who knows with ATM. Hell, even TCU could win this saturday

LSU replacing 7 starters on D but with mostly upperclassmen so i like this team. Mettenberger should take huge strides in 2013:

Thanks Grid. I agree on Starkville being a close game (it always is in the first 2-3 quarters) but I still think LSU handles Ole Miss. If they beat TCU and UF (or sneak past UGA or Bama, which is unlikely) then I think they go over the total.
Only problem is, the juice on LSU O 8.5 is -140 !

I cannot imagine a scenario where they don't win 6 games
a non QB (Dri Archer) should not have as much impact on slowing an O down the way it did when he went out. Kent O is too dependent on him.
