also looking into the Chattanooga/Loyola game I have been on both teams this year and done well , we have Chattanooga coming in off a very close win over Bradley 67-65 a game where they were down by 13 at half and came back to win, yet they shoot just 40% 26/64 compared to 54% 26/48 by Bradley , and they were 30% from 3 11/36 and just 4/6 from the line and Bradley was 6/18 from 3 and 7/11 at the line so how did they win, well Chattanooga got 16 more shots, and they got 11 offensive reb's to just 4 for Bradley, and they only had 5 to's to 12 for Bradley , 17 assist to 12 for bradley 8 steals to just 1 anytime you get 16 more shots and 7 more offensive boards, you should win can they do it again ?? we know they are very good as a dog ats 10-2 , but they are small and they do not play very good defense and Loyola actually has a big man at center, and they play defense
Loyola beat Kent st 72-62 they were 27/59 for 46% they were 9/31 from 3 29% and were 9/16 at the line 56% (NOT GOOD) Kent st was 20/54 37% and 4/14 from 3 28% and were 18/22 at the line 81% Loyola had just 7 to's to 11 for Kent st and had 20 assist to just 6 for Kent st and 6 blocks to just 1 for Kent st , this is a game where I think you could go either way, defense Loyola, Offense Tenn Chatt , now Chattanooga did out rebound Bradley, who is just like Loyola, to me this will come down to how well the teams shoot for sure, Chattanooga has to shoot well, I mean last game Loyola did make 9 3's on just 30 attempts if they do that again it could be a problem for Chatt...TC will take a lot of 3's if they shoot 35% or more it will be rough for Loyola.
Loyola plays at a slower pace, last 3 games Loyola is averaging 74 pts a game and giving up 69 the last 3 for TC they are avg 87 pts a game and giving up 80, I do not think Loyola wants this game in the 80's I mean they could but its not what they want ...on the year Lotola is avg 72 pts and defense 69 TC on the year is avg 79 and 74, Can Loyola keep this under 75?? can TC get this close to 80 yes they just won a 67-65 game but they were down big and Bradley did not play well, I have seen about 4 sites that give picks everyone is on Loyola -2 and its because of their defense and they have a true center,
I was going to take Loyola I thought about it, I was starting to believe what I was reading , but I really like how TC came back on the road at a tough place to play after being down 13, and TC plays well away and as a dog and I am not jumping off of them now, they have done really well for me this year, 10-2 ats as a dog, 7-3 ats away and I think I was on them all...lol if they shoot poorly they will lose, they have to shoot about 45%+ and make about 10+ 3's and they should, they got 11 offensive boards on the road, hopefully they can, another thing last game really just 2 guys carried TC they had 2 of their better players had off nights Wieland was just 4/13 and 0/3 from 3 and he is a 54% shooter normally, and Kostel off the bench is a 38% 3 pt shooter he was 0/4 from 3 and they had a couple of other guys who barely scored also I have to stay with them here, I am buying up to 3 at -120 and I am going to go OVER 148 if they can get to 75 + they should win or cover

I tailed late night Georgetown live +3.5. Cool beans rum…. My 3 cents… agree with you on N Tex… cal Irvine had great year… but ucsd beat em pretty good in conference tourney… N Texas the better team imo… appreciate your time n efforts rum. I know this is early and wrong forum….but I’m leaning Sandman for derby. That style of running usually hits top 4 ..

One more thought… if Colorado beats Villanova …. In basketball… there should be an investigation…. Guys go to Villanova to play hoop… I’m not playing it… May end up putting nova in small ml parlay… but since line has not moved… I’m not biting.

so far from what I have found it looks like Villanova and Colorado have all their players playing I cannot find anything that says diff...if anyone can see who will not play feel free to post it here on my thread I read like 12 diff articles I know Dixon is going for highest scorers in Villanova history today and Colorado has some very good players, if these 2 play and have all their regular guys this could be best game today I think 4 is fair

Villanova (19-14, #56 kenpom, #55 NET) takes on Colorado (14-20 overall, 3-17 Big 12, #86 NET, #80 kenpom) on Tuesday evening at MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada in the opening round of the inaugural College Basketball Crown Tournament (8:30 p.m., FS1). On the 40th anniversary of Villanova's epic 1985 NCAA Championship game victory over Georgetown, the Wildcats prepare to battle Colorado in the first ever College Basketball Crown. The Buffaloes will be led by 15-year Head Coach, Tad Boyle while 'Nova will be directed by interim Head Coach, Mike Nardi. In out-of-conference action, Colorado grabbed wins over UConn and Colorado State ... only to start the Big 12 season with a 13 game losing streak. The Buffaloes finished the season on an up-swing by winning five of their last ten games including a win over Baylor and B12 Tournament wins over TCU and West Virginia (prior to being ejected from their conference tournament by Houston). Colorado has good team size and depth.
The Wildcat offense is very efficient statistically (ranked 26th in efficiency nationally) but weak in terms of getting to the free throw line consistently (306th nationally) and vulnerable in terms of being heavily reliant on the three-pointer for point production (39.2% - 21st highest in the country). 'Nova shoots 2PFGs at a 51.1% clip and 3PFGs at 39.8% (ranking 1st in the country). The Cats are shooting 80.0% FT (ranking 6th). It is on the defensive end that the Cats fell short this season. 'Nova opponents are shooting 34.7% 3PFG (ranking 237th in the country) and 50.3% 2PFG (ranking 142nd) and Villanova is not blocking shots or forcing turnovers at a good rate. The Cats have been rebounding the ball reasonably well on both ends of the court. Eric Dixon enters the game with 2,235 career points at Villanova (in a program record 159 games). He needs 9 points to surpass the 2,243 point total of Villanova legend, Kerry Kittles to become the all-time leading scorer for the Wildcats.

Oregon State and UCF will square off for the first time Tuesday afternoon during the inaugural College Basketball Crown in Las Vegas.
Both teams hit Sin City missing several players due to the transfer portal, but the Oregon State lineup has been impacted more.
After the Beavers (20-12) posted their third 20-win season in the last 35 years, all-West Coast Conference forward Michael Rataj -- who led them in scoring and rebounding (16.9 points, 7.2 rebounds) -- Parsa Fallah (12.8 ppg) and Nate Kingz (11.8 ppg) entered the portal along with lightly used backup DaJohn Craig.
The Beavers will rely on guards Damarco Minor (9.7 ppg, 5.2 apg), Liutaraus Lelevicius (8.3 ppg, 4.1 rpg) and Josiah Lake II (7.0 ppg) to replace the scoring they lost.
It's been 24 days between games for the Beavers and 20 days for the Knights. Oregon State lost to Pepperdine 77-73 in the WCC tournament while UCF bowed out of the Big 12 tournament in the second round with a 98-94 overtime loss to Kansas.
"You want to let your guys get a little bit of rest, but try to keep your edge," Oregon State coach Wayne Tinkle said. "Because that's what this whole thing is going to come down to. The teams that win are going to be the teams that kept their guys engaged."
UCF (17-16) has had eight players enter the portal, led by 6-foot-7, 235-pound forward Keyshawn Hall. He led the Big 12 in scoring (18.8 ppg) and the Knights in rebounding (7.1 rpg) and has entered the NBA Draft process as well, though has not hired an agent. It's uncertain whether he'll play in the Crown.
Darius Johnson (16.7 ppg), Jordan Ivy-Curry (12.9 ppg) and 7-foot-2 freshman Moustapha Thiam (10.5 ppg, 2.6 bpg) will play against Oregon State.
"He's growing up right in front of our eyes," UCF coach Johnny Dawkins said about Thiam. "I think he's grown a lot in league play. I watched how he played in the preseason to where he is at now and just his activity has picked up so much more."
both teams missing players but I think UCF still has more fire power to win this and cover

The transfer portal is wide open, and Tulane has been viewing it from the wrong side.
The Green Wave (19-14) have lost two starting players to the portal as they gear up to play Southern California (16-17) on Tuesday night in the inaugural College Basketball Crown tournament in Las Vegas.
Kaleb Banks, who was Tulane's second-leading scorer (14.7 points per game) and leading rebounder (6.7) entered the portal and hasn't yet chosen a new destination. Fifth-leading scorer Kam Williams (9.3) also put his name in and has committed to Kentucky.
Leading scorer Rowan Brumbaugh is with the Green Wave in Las Vegas, but he declined to promise a return to the program. He's averaging 15.7 points and also leads the squad in assists (4.8) and steals (1.5).
"I love it here and there's nothing more from a people or basketball school perspective that I'd want. It's more of a financial thing at the end of the day," Brumbaugh told reporters. "When you look back five years from now, do you regret not taking advantage of a big opportunity? I love it here and there's nothing more Tulane can do for me at the end of the day."
Brumbaugh and Tulane have won eight of their past 12 games. The Green Wave reached the semifinals of the American Athletic Conference tournament before losing to top-seeded Memphis 78-77.
USC has dropped nine of its last 12 games, while struggling in its first season in the Big Ten.
Trojans coach Eric Musselman is busy working the portal in hopes of adding talent to his squad.
A frequent complainer about Big Ten travel, Musselman said his first season at USC has been full of lessons.
"We learned a lot," Musselman said. "The first year on any job is to set a culture and a foundation. I think we did that."
As of now, it appears USC's best two players are returning.
Desmond Claude leads the Trojans with a 16.3 scoring average, while Wesley Yates III chips in 14.1 per outing.
Reserves Kevin Patton Jr. (3.1 ppg) and Isaiah Elohim (2.1 ppg) are the only USC players to enter the portal up to this point.
The winner faces either Colorado or Villanova on Thursday.

going to go OVER 157.5 USC game 1 unit I have liked how this tourney has let kids play, the offense has been fun to watch, I think this goes over but cannot buy half pt but I'll risk it
also I am really looking at taking Colorado today at +5 just something is telling me they could keep this close, if they have everyone playing It will be a tough call, I have not decided yet, Colorado can shoot the 3 well, and teams that have so far have done well in this tourney, was surprised at how well Butler shot it yesterday and then last night Georgetown without 3 of their stars shot the 3 very well and beat a team that had everyone there I think, sometimes when these role players get more playing time, they take advantage of it and shine, with Nebraska winning as a Big 10 team and Boise besides them this could come down to a Big East big 12 tourney too bad some of the teams that were offered didn't come this could have been a nice tourney I still think we have had some very good games, close to the spreads and down to the wire, if Ohio State had came West Virginia, Kansas state, and Rutgers , imagine this could have been a decent tourney and have it before the portal starts maybe there are still good teams everywhere to field another tourney
