It’s challenging to predict outcomes given that we don’t know how each team will respond to the lengthy layoff (not to mention how many players will change their approach due to concerns over the virus). But if there’s one play in which we have utmost confidence, it’s Erling Haaland returning to his prolific ways as Borussia Dortmund host Schalke 04.
The sensational teenager has scored 12 goals in 11 games across all competitions since joining the club from Red Bull Salzburg and has tallied 40 times overall this season. And while he hasn’t been on the pitch in a while, he no doubt remembers that he has failed to score in three straight league matches. We like the Haaland brace as our top player prop on the schedule.

Union Berlin vs Bayern Munich
The league crown is Bayern’s to lose as the 29-time German League champions carry a five-point advantage into the resumption of play at Union Berlin on Sunday. And Bayern was in truly dominant form heading into the break, registering four consecutive clean sheets across all competitions while outscoring their opponents 12-0 over that stretch.
While everyone expects Bayern to fill the net with regularity this weekend, bettors shouldn’t sleep on Union Berlin, either. They fought to a 2-1 setback in Munich the last time these teams met back on October 26, and have scored 2-plus goals in seven of their past nine games at Stadion An der Alten Försterei. We like both sides to hit the scoresheet in a high-scoring affair.

Werder Bremen vs Bayer Leverkusen
Werder Bremen might be one of the happiest teams in the Bundesliga to see the schedule resume. They sit squarely in the relegation zone as they wrap up Matchday 26 against visiting Bayer Leverkusen on Monday. Werder Bremen have just two wins since December 8 and are four points back of Fortuna Duesseldorf in the battle to avoid outright relegation.
And while current form might not be the most reliable betting information this weekend, it’s hard to ignore how Leverkusen have looked in their most recent games. They’ve earned 13 of a possible 15 points over their previous five league matches and have won eight of their last 11 away games overall. We’re leaning heavily toward the visitors at downright generous odds given the gulf in talent.
