Two teams fighting to keep their outside CFL playoff hopes alive will collide on Saturday afternoon when the Winnipeg Blue Bombers travel to TD Place Stadium to take on the Ottawa Redblacks.

The Blue Bombers won a close game a month ago against these Redblacks at home, but Ottawa has revenge on the mind.

Here is my top Blue Bombers vs. Redblacks prediction and CFL picks for Week 16 on Saturday, September 20.

Blue Bombers vs Redblacks prediction

My Blue Bombers vs Redblacks pick: Over 52.5 (-110 at BET99)

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will once again be without quarterback Zach Collaros, who had 298 yards passing a month ago against these Ottawa Redblacks. However, backup Chris Streveler is 2-1 in his three starts replacing the injured Collaros. He also led them to a victory over Ottawa last season.

The Redblacks are bringing back Dru Brown at quarterback for the first time since that Week 11 game against the Blue Bombers. Brown had 166 yards passing before getting injured mid-way through the 3rd quarter. Dustin Crum threw for 125 yards in relief, so they totaled 291 yards passing.

The rushing game was not working well for either team, and I would not be surprised if both teams quickly abandon the run to take advantage of poor pass defenses. The Redblacks allow 284.0 passing yards per game, and the Blue Bombers allow 273.8.

There were 57 points when they met last time, and I expect a similar type of score line in this one. The Redblacks' offense has taken off over the past six games, averaging 30.8 points per game. The Blue Bombers' defense has allowed 29.0 points per game over the last three games.

Ottawa Redblacks moneyline

To go with our best bet on the Over, I am going to take the Redblacks to win. The Blue Bombers have lost three straight, and their defense is falling apart.
