Anthony Joshua is expected to cruise against Kristian Prenga, but the best betting value lies in when the former champion finishes the job.

Joshua is reaching deep down the barrel to stay busy ahead of a potential mega fight with Tyson Fury. Prenga’s knockout percentage is inflated by terrible opposition, and he will be out of his depth against the former two-time heavyweight champion. Expect Joshua to carry him briefly before closing the show with his first meaningful offensive burst.

Anthony Joshua vs Kristian Prenga best bet: Joshua in Rounds 4-6 (+215)

BEST BET
Joshua to win in Rounds 4-6 (+215)
Bet now at Bet99

Joshua to win between Rounds 4-6 is my best bet. His moneyline is prohibitively expensive, and there is little value in laying -800 on a straight KO/TKO victory. I’m expecting Joshua to carry Prenga through the opening rounds while feeling out the size and range of his overmatched opponent. Once Joshua begins sitting down on his punches, however, the gulf in class should become obvious. Prenga has never faced anyone close to Joshua’s level, and the fight lasting beyond the sixth round would be an upset in itself.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Prenga has never fought a former world champion or completed a 12-round bout.

Odds as of July 24.

Joshua should control the opening rounds, make Prenga uncomfortable and unwilling to throw, and then close the show once the Albanian is fully spooked. That makes Joshua to win in Rounds 4-6 a better value than his uneconomical moneyline or KO/TKO prop. The Over 3.5 rounds also aligns with that script, but the three-round winning window offers the more attractive payout.

Joshua owns a slight height advantage and brings the far superior résumé as a former Olympic gold medalist and two-time heavyweight champion. While Prenga has finished all 20 of his victories by knockout, those wins have come against a much lower level of opposition. He has never faced a former world champion, while Joshua has spent most of his career competing at boxing’s highest level.
