Amanda Serrano defends her unified featherweight titles against Cheyenne Hanson in a fight that may be more dangerous than the odds indicate, as Hanson presents a unique challenge for the aging great.
My Amanda Serrano vs. Cheyenne Hanson predictions expect the champ to retain, but it won't come as easy as some may expect.

Fight analysis
Amanda Serrano is nearing the end of her legendary career, whether she believes it or not. The ring doesn’t lie.
When a power puncher begins relying on their willpower more than physical gifts, that means there isn’t much left. Serrano has scored one stoppage since 2021, was bullied by Katie Taylor in a stunningly passive loss, and she had a rougher night than expected against late substitute Reina Tellez four months ago.
Now, she’s up against an opponent with legitimate punching power that is making her MVP promotional debut in Cheyenne Hanson. She hasn’t fought outside of Europe but is 17-2 with 13 knockouts — having stopped three of her last five opponents.
Nine years Serrano’s junior, Hanson can very well come into this fight knowing that she can hold her own in exchanges with the aging Serrano, who has been easier to hit and has struggled to implement her vaunted power.
While Hanson might be overlooked, I can’t ignore Serrano is leagues above the club-level circuit Hanson has faced in Europe, and that experience gap is something the challenger simply can’t punch her way out of.
There seems to be some long-term booking behind the scenes as well. MVP Promotions has made it a point to feature Serrano and Holly Holm on the same fight card, signaling they’re trying to make a fight between two of the most iconic female competitors in the sport.
Serrano will have an easier chance than Holm to keep that dream match alive by utilizing her superior skills, body punching, and the remnants of her footwork to keep Hanson turning and staying unbalanced when they do engage in the pocket.
I don’t believe there’s a lot left in Serrano’s tank, and Hanson has the kind of mold that older fighters tend to avoid when the decline is hard to ignore. Even so, Hanson’s flash is missing substance, so she might be able to press Serrano, but not put her out.
Best best analysis
Serrano may be at her best at featherweight, but Hanson’s punching power and youth might give her more trouble than she’s expecting.
Considering Serrano struggled at times against Tellez and that she’s only scored one knockout in her last eleven fights, she’s not able to sustain her offense long enough to close out early anymore.
I don’t feel Hanson wins, but she’ll get outclassed rather than beaten up.
