Toronto can't be counted on to win, but Nyara Sabally has cemented herself as a consistent force on offense and will continue that trend against the Wings.

The Dallas Wings won and covered in each of the first two matchups with the Toronto Tempo and are 9.5-point home favorites tonight.

However, Nyara Sabally is enjoying a career year and is in the midst of her best stretch of the season for Toronto. My Tempo vs. Wings predictions expect Sabally to stay hot against a potentially shorthanded Dallas frontcourt.

Read my WNBA picks to see why I think Sabally, Marina Mabrey, and Paige Bueckers will all do their parts to help this matchup hit the Over on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Tempo vs Wings prediction

Tempo vs Wings best bet: Nyara Sabally Over 19.5 points + rebounds (-115)

In four games since rejoining the Toronto Tempo starting five, Nyara Sabally has averaged 27.1 points + rebounds and posted 20+ in each. On the season, she’s averaging a healthy 22.1 on the road with 20+ PR in six of nine.

Jessica Shepard injured her ankle on Sunday and has been ruled out tonight for the Dallas Wings, giving Sabally a more favorable interior matchup with more rebounding and scoring opportunities.

The 6-foot-5 Sabally has a clear size advantage against smaller defenders, leading to more rebounds and interior scoring opportunities.

Play up to 24.5.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Over the last four games, Sabally leads her team in usage at 28.2. She also leads the Tempo in rebounds at 6.6 and ranks second in field-goal attempts (11) and points (15.8).

Tempo vs Wings same-game parlay

Marina Mabrey broke out of her slump on Monday with a 36-point effort against a stingy Atlanta Dream defense. She's also gone for 19 and 34 in two matchups with Dallas, hitting nine triples. Over their last three, Dallas has allowed opponents to shoot 40% from distance. Play to 19.5.

Toronto has given up 92+ in eight straight, and Dallas has surrendered 90+ in three straight. This could be a get-right spot for the Wings, but their recent form doesn’t give me confidence in a 10-point cover. I prefer the safer wager on the total, and I’ll play to 187.5.
