The Las Vegas Aces (-15.5) will be looking to continue beating up on weaker West Coast competition as they host the Los Angeles Sparks tonight.
Las Vegas has been shutting down weaker opposition lately, and that has me picking the Under in my Sparks vs. Aces predictions. Let's take a look at all of my free WNBA picks for Tuesday, Sept. 22.

The Las Vegas Aces are one of the best offensive teams in the WNBA, but it's been their defense that has powered their current five-game winning streak. In that span, the Aces have held every opponent under 80 points, hitting the Under in three of their last four games.
The Los Angeles Sparks have struggled to score against better defensive teams, especially without players like Cameron Brink and Dearica Hamby in the lineup down the stretch, averaging just 79.0 ppg over their last five road games.
I'm taking the Under and would do so down to 175.5 points.
COVERS INTEL: The Aces average only 82.2 possessions per 40 minutes, ranking 11th in the WNBA. That will limit the scoring potential of the Sparks, who rank ninth in offensive rating (105.7).

The Aces have been blowing out lesser opponents in the stretch run, winning each of their last five games by a minimum of 15 points. That's why I see them covering again tonight against a Sparks team that is missing a couple of starting options who might complicate things for Las Vegas.
I'm also backing Chelsea Gray to score at least 10 points. Gray is averaging 11.9 ppg on the season and has gone for double digits in four of her last seven games. She should find more success against a Los Angeles defense that allows opponents to shoot a 53.7% effective field goal percentage.

Sparks vs Aces player prop: A'ja Wilson 25+ points
A'ja Wilson is well on her way to another WNBA MVP award. The Aces star is averaging 26.2 ppg on the season to go along with 9.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
Wilson has been on a scoring tear both before and after the FIBA World Cup break, scoring 25+ points in six of her last seven games. The Sparks are ill-suited to slowing down Wilson, as they allow an average of 42.9 ppg in the paint, the second-worst figure in the WNBA.
I like Wilson to hit her 25-point target tonight at up to 65% probability.
