Paige Bueckers has elevated her game even further in her sophomore WNBA season, and her dangerous three-point shooting takes center stage in our top player props for Friday.

It’s Friday night in the WNBA, and the stars will be shining as we seek out some stellar player props from this slate.

I’m looking at two of the brightest young stars in the league in Paige Bueckers and Caitlin Clark to hit their prop totals, while I also love veteran Brittney Griner to keep scoring in the paint.

Let’s take a closer look at my best player props as I share my free WNBA picks for Friday, May 22.

Prop #1: Paige Bueckers Over 1.5 made threes (+128 at FanDuel)

Paige Bueckers is off to a blistering start in her sophomore campaign. After lighting up the WNBA for 19.2 ppg last year, the former UConn Huskies star has raised her average to 20.8 points, shooting 57.6% from the field over her first five games this season.

Bueckers has been especially hot from beyond the three-point line. She’s shooting 57.9% from deep, and has hit at least two threes in three of her last four games.

The Dallas Wings have been the best offensive team in the WNBA in the early going, putting up an offensive rating of 114.6 this season. Even against a sturdy Atlanta Dream defense, Bueckers should continue to lead the Dallas offense to success, and that includes keeping up her hot shooting from beyond the arc.

Prop #2: Caitlin Clark Over 8.5 assists (+114 at BetRivers)

Everyone loves watching Caitlin Clark score, but her best skill has always been distributing the ball to her teammates. Now in her third professional season, Clark has averaged 8.6 assists per game for the Indiana Fever, a number that has risen to an average of 9.0 assists so far in 2026.

Those assists come with an unhealthy number of turnovers (she’s averaging 5.0 giveaways again this year), but that’s not a problem for prop bettors. Clark has gone for 9+ assists in each of her last three games, aided by a Fever team that is playing at the fastest pace in the WNBA.

The Golden State Valkyries will try to slow the game down, and they have played outstanding defense to start the season. But while that might mean more turnovers for Clark, it won’t stop her from moving the ball and getting her teammates involved. I love Clark to hit her assists total again tonight.

Prop #3: Brittney Griner Over 14.5 points (+105 at DraftKings)

Even in her age 35 season, Brittney Griner remains a capable scorer. It’s not going to good use for a terrible Connecticut Sun team, but she is putting up 15.0 ppg on 52.9% shooting to start the year, numbers that are down only slightly from her glory days with the Phoenix Mercury.

Tonight’s battle sees two of the league’s worst teams face off, as the Sun are visiting the 1-4 Seattle Storm. Seattle has been a mediocre defense team at best, with a 105.7 defensive rating, and are allowing 40.0 ppg in the paint to their opponents.

That’s music to the ears of Griner, who even now is one of the best post scorers in the WNBA. Griner has scored 16 points in three of her last four games, and with a few easy buckets in the paint to get her going, I’m expecting her to get to the Over tonight.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Outside of gambling, Ed is an avid curler who competes in mixed doubles on the World Curling Tour and runs a popular curling YouTube channel, Chess on Ice. That experience has come in handy during the Olympics, when he has proven to be a successful curling bettor as well.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
