The New York Liberty hit the road tonight for a non-conference WNBA matchup with the Los Angeles Sparks.

Friday’s home loss to Washington aside, the Liberty are clearly the better team, and my Liberty vs. Sparks predictions expect a comfortable Liberty victory.

Read on for my free WNBA picks for Sunday, June 21.

Liberty vs Sparks prediction

Liberty vs Sparks best bet: Liberty -4.5 (-115)

The New York Liberty are undervalued tonight against the Los Angeles Sparks

New York is in a prime bounce-back spot after its Friday night home upset by Washington. Over the last five games, a massive efficiency gap favors the Liberty.

They boast a +11.6 Net Rating and a blistering 57.3% eFG%, while the Sparks are sputtering with a -1.2 Net Rating and a weak 47.3% eFG%.

The math projects New York as an 8-point favorite, meaning we are getting a short, highly underpriced number. Lay up to -5.5 points with the elite Liberty offense.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Across their last five games, the Liberty lead the WNBA in True Shooting percentage (63.1%).

Liberty vs Sparks same-game parlay

Cameron Brink's absence due to a left ankle sprain leaves the Sparks without their top rim protector and one of their most reliable rebounders.

Without her presence, Los Angeles is more vulnerable on the glass, creating a favorable matchup for Jonquel Jones to clear her 8.5 rebound prop after doing so in four of her previous five games

Brink's absence should also force the Sparks to devote additional defensive attention to New York's frontcourt, opening passing lanes for Breanna Stewart

Stewart has recorded at least three assists in four of her last five games and should have opportunities to find open teammates when Los Angeles collapses defensively.

Liberty vs Sparks SGP

  • Liberty moneyline
  • Jonquel Jones Over 8.5 rebounds
  • Breanna Stewart Over 2.5 assists

Liberty vs Sparks player prop pick

Jonquel Jones Under 20.5 points (-125)

New York holds a major advantage on the glass, boasting a 54.9% team rebound percentage over their last five games compared to the Sparks' struggling 48.8% without Brink on the floor.

Jonquel Jones has been highly efficient in clearing this number, hitting double-digit boards in three of her last five games, including a 10-rebound performance in her last outing against Washington.

Expect her to dominate a completely depleted Los Angeles paint tonight, easily securing extra possessions for the heavy road favorites.
