When Golden State needs an injection of energy, Janelle Salaun delivers. Expect the Valkyries' bench weapon to feed off the playoff atmosphere at home as Round 1 tips off against the Wings.

The first Sunday of 2026 WNBA playoff action concludes with a nightcap from “Ballhalla” as the Golden State Valkyries host the Dallas Wings.

Second-year sensation Janelle Salaun is the favorite to win Sixth Person of the year thanks to her key bench scoring, and my WNBA picks & Wings vs. Valkyries predictions expect her to keep playing strong offensively at home.

Read on to see why I’m taking the Over on a pair of Salaun player props and a Tiffany Hayes scoring line and how I’m betting the Game Total as the Valkyries’ “bench mob” comes to life at home.

 TOP PICK
Wings vs Valkyries prediction: Janelle Salaun Over 9.5 points

Janelle Salaun is the favorite to win Sixth Person of the Year behind a career-high 12.7 points and 2.3 triples per game. All 40 of her appearances were off the bench, and she provided a spark for the Golden State Valkyries second unit.

Salaun averaged 13.1 ppg at home compared to 12.4 on the road. She finished with 10+ points in 27 of 40 games overall and in 13 of 19 at Chase Center. Salaun posted nine points against the Dallas Wings and finished with 10 and 12 in two home tilts with them.

Dallas’ strong home defense didn’t travel well, as the Wings gave up the fifth-most points (90.8) and third-highest three-point percentage (36.2) to opponents on the road.

Playing at home in a favorable matchup, Salaun’s chances to hit double-digit points feel closer to 65%, making this a value play that I’ll trade up to 60%.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Among players with 10+ games off the bench, Salaun leads the league in points (12.7), FGA (9.7), 3PA (5.9) and 3PM (2.3). She ranks fifth in minutes (22) among those players.

Wings vs Valkyries combo

The Valkyries comfortably led the W in bench scoring at 35.9 ppg, and Dallas ranked ninth at just 21.2. In three regular-season matchups, the V’s won the bench battle 100-53, thanks in large part to Salaun and Tiffany Hayes.

Hayes finished with 10 in each of her home games against Dallas. Despite scoring 10+ in nearly half of her games, her scoring line is trading at 33%, making a profitable addition to this combo.

This is a wildly-low point total, and the H2H matchups went Over in four of the last five, but I’ll take the Under as Golden State’s defensive intensity and raucous home crowd should highlight Dallas’ offensive and defensive shortcomings on the road.

The V’s don’t have a go-to scorer, and the bench can do the heavy lifting while the point total remains low.

Play to 151.5.

Wings vs Valkyries player prop: Janelle Salaun Over 1.5 Three-Pointers

Salaun knocked down multiple treys in 28 of 40 appearances, reaching that mark in 14 of 19 games at Chase Center. She reached that mark in both of her home matchups with the Wings while shooting 40% from beyond the arc.

Dallas’ vulnerable perimeter defense offers Salaun a favorable matchup, and I’ll trade this line as long as it doesn’t go over 60%. Though Salaun hit the Over in over 68% of her games, trading at higher than 60% as a straight wager drives profit down too much for my liking.
