The Las Vegas Aces will look to get back on track as they come out of the WNBA All-Star break by hosting the Portland Fire.
Portland has done a great job of competing against better teams, which is why I'm taking it to cover a big spread in my Fire vs. Aces predictions. Read on to get my full WNBA picks for Tuesday, July 28.
Fire vs Aces prediction
Fire vs Aces best bet: Fire +12.5 (-115)
The Las Vegas Aces have lost two of their last three games and are 2-4 ATS in their last six overall. That includes an 8-point win over the Portland Fire earlier this month, a game in which the Fire covered as 9.5-point dogs.
Portland has done a great job of being a frustrating opponent for even the WNBA's best teams, forcing 14.6 turnovers per game and averaging 7.6 steals.
With Las Vegas scuffling at the moment and the Fire having covered in three straight, I'm taking the Fire at +11 or more.

Fire vs Aces same-game parlay
Both teams have trended towards the Over this year, and those trends have been strong lately as well. The Aces have hit the Over in three straight, and have either scored or allowed 100 points in each of their last four outings.
Portland has also hit the Over in four of its last five contests. These teams could easily combine for 190+ points tonight, as they did in their June meeting.
With all those points on the board, I'm taking Fire center Megan DiLeo (12.6 ppg) to hit her scoring Over at 13.5 points. DiLeo has put up 15+ points in each of her last three games, and is averaging 14.0 ppg against the Aces in their two meetings this season.
She'll get plenty of usage tonight thanks to her ability to spread the court and shoot from deep, which will be needed to keep A'ja Wilson moving around on defense.
Fire vs Aces SGP
- Fire +12.5
- Over 177.5
- Megan DiLeo Over 13.5 points
Fire vs Aces player prop pick
A'ja Wilson Over 39.5 points + rebounds + assists (-130)
While I like DiLeo to play a big role on offense for the Fire, make no mistake: Wilson will dominate the matchup between these centers, as she usually does. Wilson is averaging 26.1 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, and has averaged 43 PRA in her first two games against Portland.
Wilson always scores and will have no trouble dominating the boards against a Fire team with the worst rebounding rate (46.3%) in the WNBA. Wilson should fly Over her PRA total, and I'm happy to lay up to -150 on this market.
