With four straight wins, the Indiana Fever are refusing to falter without Caitlin Clark, and a crowded playoff picture means the stakes are high for this afternoon’s clash with the Seattle Storm. ABC has the coverage of this crucial clash beginning at 3:00 p.m. ET.

Both teams enter with a solid 16-12 record. My Fever vs. Storm predictions signal an efficient outing for both offenses at Climate Pledge Arena on Sunday, August 3.

Fever vs Storm predictions

My Fever vs Storm best bet: Over 161.5 (-110 at bet365)

This Indiana Fever offense is never going to hum at the same level without Caitlin Clark at the controls, but there’s enough firepower in this matchup to spark a real points-fest.

You don’t have to look far for the signs. The Seattle Storm came up short in a 108-106 double-overtime thriller against the Sparks on Friday, and they’ve poured in 95+ points in three of their last four contests. It’s been tough to peg the erratic Storm scorers all year, but the arrow is certainly pointing up.

Meanwhile, the Fever have gone past this 161.5-point total in eight of their past nine games, including a 107-101 win over the Mercury in midweek, which featured a 27-point explosion from Aari McDonald.

That makes the Over an attractive pick. It’s been a winning ticket in four of the last six meetings between these teams, and both rank inside the Top 5 in field goal percentage this year.

Kelsey Mitchell and Skylar Diggins stand out as two of the WNBA’s most effective initiators and, with that duo likely to log major minutes, don’t be surprised to see the scoreboard ticking along. This total number got a slight reset after opening in the high 150s, but it’s still within striking distance for two in-form offenses.

Fever vs Storm same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 161.5

Nneka Ogwumike Over 16.5 points

Aliyah Boston Over 8.5 rebounds

Nneka Ogwumike dropped 37 points on the Sparks last time out, shooting 14-for-25 and just missing out on a new career high. I’m wagering on that rhythm carrying over to today’s contest and jumping on her scoring prop.

The Over on Aliyah Boston rebounds is another must-have pick. She’s hauled in double-digit boards in five straight games as the Fever’s No. 1 paint presence, and Indiana dominated the glass with a 38-21 rebounding edge in the teams’ previous matchup.
